★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Had a splendid afternoon at Mezze on the River, soaking in the beautiful waterfront views from the terrace with my family. We barely made it for Happy Hour, which was just okay—not much to rave about. The food was decent overall. The highlight was definitely the Amalfi Seafood Pasta Al Cartoccio—served in a parchment bag, it was light yet packed with flavor from the mussels, clams, shrimp, and calamari in a garlic white wine sauce. A lovely dish that felt fresh and well-balanced.The Oven Roasted Salmon had a nice crisp on the outside and was moist inside, but it leaned a bit too oily for my taste. The Fried Calamari came with two sauces (rustic tomato and lemon-caper yogurt), but the breading didn’t hold up well and felt greasy. The Crispy Crab Croquettes were fine, though nothing memorable, and the Spanakopita—crispy spinach-feta triangles—was enjoyable, especially with the spicy feta dip.Service was just okay. It felt a bit robotic and lacked warmth or attentiveness. While the food and service didn’t blow me away, the view alone makes it worth a visit—especially if you're looking for a scenic spot to unwind.
September 03 · Bertha CruzThe place is beautiful. The service was slow but waiters were nice. We were a group of 7 and shared some of the appetizers which were very small for all of us. We all really enjoyed the lobster tacos but they were so tiny. Overall we all found the plates to be on the smaller side, especially for the prices. I had the lobster truffle pasta and although it was delicious, it barely had any lobster. The actual lobster seemed to be just for decoration. Everyone enjoyed their food, except for the burger and crab cakes. It was my birthday dinner and they didn’t do anything special for me which I found a little disappointing.
June 30 · NatalieLovely restaurant and great people watching from the high-tops near the bar. The food was over the top delicious! Kudos to the kitchen! Dips and Grilled Pita ($26) was creative, tasty and plentiful; Spanakopita ($18) was hot and filled generously; sauteed spinach ($12) and roasted asparagus ($12) fresh and cooked perfectly; Beef Carpaccio ($21) seasoned nicely. Greek Salad ($21) was the highlight of the dishes. Loved the presentation! This all went down well with a bottle of Whispering Angel ($80). Service a little slow but we weren't in a hurry; at times felt more like an inconvenience than an income-producing customer. Staff just didn't seem happy.
August 25 · K PVisited Aug 15, 2025. I loved this place. I felt like I was truly in a Mediterranean country (minus the views of Jersey City). Pictured are: Prix Fixe Lunch - Chilled Spicy Cucumber Salad & Grilled Branzino. I added a dessert - coconut ripieno. Cocktail choice was Pretty In Pink. The service was great and the food was extremely fresh and flavorful. Not a single bit of the meal was disappointing. I would definitely return and will recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves fresh Mediterranean food with a view.
August 16 · Marcus Williams JrMy wife and our two boys went there and we enjoyed the experience very much. We booked online the Moet on the Hudson menu. Except the Ribeye steak, which were burnt and has too much charcoal flavor, our other food were all very good. The lobster and the lamb are better than a lot of places. The outdoor igloo was a bit tiny, so I don’t think it is for everyone. Honestly, for us with kids, it is perfectly ok, and kind of fun and private. The staff were all very friendly and genuinely attentive.
