New Tung Hing Introduce
For residents across the New York region, and specifically in Brooklyn, finding a reliable, fast, and satisfying 'Chinese restaurant' is a staple of urban life. New Tung Hing, located at 5224 4th Ave in the heart of Sunset Park, is an establishment that perfectly fits this essential role. Identified as a 'Chinese restaurant' and, critically, a 'Delivery Restaurant,' its business model is clearly geared toward the busy New Yorker needing delicious food delivered right to their door with speed. The atmosphere is 'Casual,' and the focus is on providing 'Comfort food,' 'Quick bite' options, and, notably, catering to 'Late-night food' cravings. Popular for 'Lunch, Dinner, Solo dining,' New Tung Hing is a practical and essential spot in the local dining ecosystem.
The menu at New Tung Hing is a testament to classic, dependable Chinese-American fare, emphasizing traditional flavors and affordability. The 'Soup' section features mainstays like Egg Drop Soup and Wonton Soup, both economically priced at $1.75 and served with the traditional crispy noodle. The 'Chow Mein' and 'Chop Suey' sections offer customizable options with Roast Pork and Vegetable versions, maintaining highly accessible price points between $4.50 and $5.50. This menu structure ensures that patrons can always find their favorite, familiar dishes without breaking the bank. The focus on these reliable, traditional offerings is precisely what makes it a go-to spot for dependable 'Comfort food' in the neighborhood.
A significant draw, often highlighted by dedicated patrons, is the restaurant’s unique and highly-praised combination of 'American Special Dishes' with classic fried rice. Customers consistently rave about the pairing of the Fried Chicken Wings and the pork fried rice. As one reviewer noted, this is a combination 'very few Chinese restaurants' offer, and it's celebrated for tasting 'good.' The fried rice is described as a flavorful mix of 'yellow rice mixed with pieces of pork and bean sprouts,' which, combined with the 'nice crunch from the fried chicken wings,' creates a highly satisfying meal. Though the wings are noted to be 'a little small,' customers still express a fondness for them. The availability of items like Fried 1/2 Chicken ($3.75) and a portion of Fried Chicken Wings ($4.95) for a full meal or 'Small plates' further cements its reputation for fulfilling hearty, specific comfort food cravings.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Had the chicken wings and fried rice last night the wings are a little small but I like them and the rice was good. Fast delivery. My son had the same today and likes it as well and the delivery time was even faster.
August 23 · Isabella DichardI’ve found very few Chinese restaurants that serve pork fried rice with fried chicken wings, and man, does it taste good. The yellow rice mixed with pieces of pork and bean sprouts, and a nice crunch from the fried chicken wings was great. You can also add broccoli as well.
July 29 · Lindo KorchiNew Hung Ting is a hidden gem in Brooklyn! The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Whether you're craving classic Chinese dishes or something a bit more unique, their menu has plenty of great options. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff is always friendly and efficient, making both dine-in and takeout experiences enjoyable. Highly recommend New Hung Ting for anyone looking for quality Chinese food in the area!
October 18 · Paul SehmbeyOverall I do think it’s an average Chinese food restaurant. If your dining in be mindful that there not much sitting area and they are always busy. The service is great they just tend to rush you with your orders.
January 12 · JenniferMy favorite place. I’ve been coming here for years. Everyone is so kind. They always remember my order (because I’m a regular). Food is consistent and great . Ty!
