4.0
A casual spot to grab a huge portion of Korean noodles. Order at the counter and the noodles will come quick!I got the Kalguksu with beef brisket (knife cut noodles) and it was a huge bowl and tasty. Really good value for the price. The person taking orders wasn't very friendly (not rude, but not friendly), but she was efficient. An older woman helping at the counter was much more gracious and welcoming. I was there about noon and it wasn't crowded when I arrived, but got busier when I left. If I am in that area again, I would definitely return and try some different dishes. - Lisa Williams

Noona Noodles Introduce

In a city filled with countless dining options, there’s a special kind of comfort in finding a spot that specializes in one thing and does it exceptionally well. Noona Noodles, a beloved Korean restaurant in Midtown, is exactly that kind of place. The name "Noona," meaning "older sister" in Korean, perfectly captures the feeling of the restaurant: a warm, familiar, and comforting place that serves food just like an older sister would. The menu is a celebration of Korean noodle dishes, from traditional classics to modern, creative twists, all prepared with a focus on fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. Whether you're a student looking for a filling meal, a local on your lunch break, or a tourist seeking a taste of authentic Korean cuisine, Noona Noodles offers a delicious and satisfying experience that will make you feel right at home.

The star of the show at Noona Noodles is undoubtedly the extensive and diverse noodle menu. The cold noodles, such as the Icy Noodles and Icy Spicy, are a popular choice, especially during the humid New York summer, offering a refreshing and flavorful escape. For those who prefer a hot, comforting bowl, the noodle soups are a must-try. The Kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) with beef brisket is a customer favorite, praised for its generous size and rich flavor. Another standout is the spicy seafood noodle soup, Jjam Bbong, which has been highly recommended for its authentic taste. Beyond traditional dishes, Noona Noodles isn't afraid to innovate, with creative ramen offerings like the rich and savory Tonkotsu and the unique Cowboy Ramen, which features Korean BBQ kalbi and American cheese, a playful nod to its New York home. The portions are consistently described as "huge" and "really good value for the price," ensuring you'll leave feeling full and satisfied.

Noona Noodles is built on a fast-casual model, which makes it perfect for the city's quick pace. Customers order at the counter, and the food comes out quickly, hot and fresh. The atmosphere is casual and trendy, with a clean and well-organized space that is ideal for solo dining or a small group. While the service can be efficient and to the point, as one customer noted, the welcoming presence of staff, as well as the quick service, contribute to a positive experience. The restaurant is a women-owned business, which adds another layer of local character and pride. With its delicious food, friendly service, and convenient location, Noona Noodles has earned its reputation as a go-to spot for anyone craving a tasty, authentic, and filling Korean meal in Midtown.
