At The Venue Cafe Introduce
In the heart of New York City's energetic Midtown, a true "hidden gem" awaits, providing a welcome respite from the city's relentless pace. At The Venue Cafe is more than just a place to grab a coffee; it is a cozy, community-oriented space that combines stellar drinks, a casual atmosphere, and a uniquely welcoming spirit. Described by a customer as a "game changer," this small, Asian-owned business offers a perfect blend of high-quality products and genuine hospitality that makes you feel like a regular from your very first visit.
The cafe’s identity is built around providing a comfortable, chill energy that invites you to slow down. One of the many reviews captures this perfectly, noting that the "cozy vibe" and "stellar customer service" make you want to "pull out your laptop, sink into the window seat, and sip a latte while people-watching like you’re in a movie." This is a stark contrast to the anonymous feel of many larger coffee chains, and it speaks to the personal touch that makes this spot so special. The cafe is popular for breakfast, a time when many New Yorkers are in a rush, but the atmosphere suggests you can linger a while if you choose.
Beyond the inviting atmosphere, At The Venue Cafe is a celebrated spot for both its great coffee and impressive tea selection. The menu offers a wide variety of options, from classic espresso drinks to creative, flavor-forward lattes. This dual focus ensures that whether you’re a coffee purist or a tea enthusiast, you will find something to love. As a local, family-friendly, and LGBTQ+ friendly establishment, it has cultivated an inclusive environment that feels like a safe space for everyone, a true testament to the spirit of a welcoming neighborhood business.
At The Venue Cafe is conveniently located at 134 W 29th St in New York, NY 10001. This address places it squarely in the bustling area of Midtown South, bordering Chelsea and the Garment District. The location is ideal for a diverse crowd, including office workers, fashion professionals, residents, and visitors. Its proximity to major transportation hubs, including Penn Station, ensures it is easily accessible for commuters and travelers. The cafe's address on a side street helps to cultivate its "hidden gem" status, providing a sense of discovery for those who stumble upon it.
The location offers excellent accessibility for all patrons. For those who drive, there is paid street parking available nearby, which is a key consideration in a dense urban area like Manhattan. However, most New Yorkers will appreciate its close proximity to several subway lines, including the 1, 2, A, C, E, F, M, N, Q, R, and W trains, all within a short walking distance.
The cafe’s layout and features also contribute to its accessibility. Its dine-in service includes seating, which is a major highlight, especially in a neighborhood where seating at coffee shops can be a rare commodity. The reviews mention "plenty of seats indoor," making it a reliable spot for a work session or a relaxing break. The cafe is also welcoming to a wide variety of customers, with a family-friendly atmosphere that's "good for kids" and a pet policy that allows dogs to be present both inside and outside.
- Takeout: For customers on the go, the cafe offers quick and efficient takeout service. The menu is designed for convenience, allowing you to grab your favorite drink and a prepared meal with minimal waiting.
- Dine-in: At The Venue Cafe provides ample indoor seating, making it a perfect spot to linger. The seating options cater to different needs, whether you want to "pull out your laptop" and work or simply "people-watch like you’re in a movie."
- Private Dining Room: A unique feature for a coffee shop, the cafe offers a private dining room. This service is ideal for small meetings, intimate gatherings, or even as a quiet space for a more focused work session, providing a sense of exclusivity.
- Quick Bites: The menu includes a variety of offerings such as comfort food, prepared foods, and small plates, which are perfect for a quick bite. This service expands its appeal beyond just coffee and tea, making it a viable option for any time of day.
- Catering: While not explicitly stated, the presence of small plates and prepared foods suggests the potential for catering services for local businesses or small gatherings, a valuable offering in such a professional environment.
- Great Coffee and Tea Selection: The core strength of the cafe is its drink menu. It offers a wide range of espresso-based drinks, a variety of classic teas, and unique specialty lattes. This broad selection ensures that every preference is accommodated, from traditionalists to those seeking new flavors.
- Asian-Owned Small Business: Identifying as an Asian-owned, small business is a significant highlight. For many New Yorkers, supporting a local, independent, and minority-owned business is an important factor in their purchasing decisions.
- Inclusive and Welcoming Atmosphere: The cafe's identity as a family-friendly, LGBTQ+ friendly, and transgender safe space is a powerful feature that sets it apart. It creates a genuinely inclusive and comfortable environment where everyone feels welcome.
- Unique Signature Creations: As one reviewer noted, the cafe offers special "signature creations" that are not found on the online menu. This provides a sense of discovery and a reason to engage with the friendly staff, adding a layer of personality and unique charm.
- Dog-Friendly Environment: The pet-friendly policy, which allows dogs both inside and outside, is a major highlight for the many dog owners in New York City. This feature creates a more relaxed and communal atmosphere, attracting a specific and loyal clientele.

While every item at At The Venue Cafe is prepared with care, there are a few standout choices that a first-time visitor should consider. For coffee lovers, the Matcha Latte is a great place to start, as it is a "crowd fave" highly recommended by a customer. The same goes for their Chai Latte, which is praised for its "strong" flavor. For a taste of the unique, you should certainly try one of their seasonal drinks, such as the Pumpkin Spice Latte, or the colorful and flavorful Strawberry Matcha, which brings a delightful twist to a popular classic.
Beyond the drinks, you should also consider some of their food options. The reviews mention that the pastries "run out early," which is a strong indication of their popularity and quality, so arriving early for one is a worthwhile endeavor. The cafe also offers a range of comfort food, prepared foods, and small plates, making it a great option for a light breakfast, lunch, or even an afternoon pick-me-up. The menu's variety ensures that you can find a satisfying pairing for your drink, whether you're in the mood for something sweet or savory.
Perhaps what is most worth choosing at At The Venue Cafe is the personalized service. The rave review about Dominique and the "signature creations" suggests that simply engaging with the staff can lead to an unexpected and delightful discovery. It’s a cafe where asking for a recommendation might introduce you to your new favorite drink. In a city of endless choices, this kind of personal, knowledgeable, and friendly service is a truly invaluable feature that makes this small business a standout option.

September 14 · Mihai ManitiuNew favorite spot alert! I stumbled across a hidden gem called At The Venue Cafe and wow… game changer. Dominique, my amazing host, whipped up one of their signature drinks with a twist that made me forget Starbucks even existed. Yeah, I said it. Move over corporate coffee—this place is the real deal. From the cozy vibe to the stellar customer service, everything about this place makes you want to pull out your laptop, sink into the window seat, and sip a latte while people-watching like you’re in a movie. The space is clean, bright, and has this chill energy that makes you want to come back every day. The latte? Perfect. The vibe? Immaculate.Pro tip: try one of their signature creations (you won’t find these online—ask Dominique!). But if you’re unsure, the Matcha Latte and Chai are crowd faves.Location: 134 W 29th St, New York, NY 10001Tell them I sent you. March 31 · Wilkie JoissaintStopped by on accident on my way to a different shop. Very aesthetically pleasing. I spoke to the barista that was there and he gave me some helpful recommendations. I ordered the tiramisu latte and was happy to know find out they use Partners coffee. Super delicious. A good place to get work done. 10/10!
April 06 · Cindy ParacheUsed to be Bunny&Bro, but they re-opened under the name of At The Venue Cafe. They have plenty of seating and lots of sunlight coming in during the day. Their pastries taste so good especially the pound cake!
November 19 · JacquelineI went to this place once before when it was still bunny and bro but didn't really like it so I wanted to give it another chance just to see what it was like now with a reopening. The barista was nice and the atmosphere and overall environment was cute and clean but the coffee could've been better. I got an iced vanilla latte and it tasted kind of watery? I also got the waffle and it wasn't anything special. I wish they had more specialty items or something.
