★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Mouthwatering smells float in the air and the taste of their jerk pork and chicken - oooh - it does not disappoint. Servings are generous and the staff beyond delightful. It’s a roadside shack with 2 large grills delivering big, bold taste. Yum!
June 10 · S. VictorMore than just the delicious food, the people who work here are caring, kind, and proud of what they make. And proud they should be! I visited twice in two days because the first jerk chicken plate I had was so perfect, I needed to return the following day to try their jerk pork next. Both meat dishes came with a generous amount of rice (the jollof was incredible), a cabbage dish, and some fried plantains. The prices are great for the quality and amount of food you get when you visit here!
March 02 · Rocco Ceci JrA delightful little gem right off of exit 14 in Norwalk. It is cozy but has some outdoor seating where you can regularly find smokers firing away. The staff is extremely friendly and willing to help out, overall giving the humble building a welcoming atmosphere. The food itself is very tasty and fresh. I tried the Jamaican patties, and they really hit the spot. The pastry was crisp and flaky. The filling was flavorful but not too spicy.Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy Jamaican food!
June 21 · Richard EThis is authentic Jamaican food. I haven’t tasted Jerk chicken this good since I actually had it in Jamaica. We got there just in time, the chicken was coming right off the grill and it was mega. Cooked to perfection and the jerk sauce is superb. Great value, and great staff. Dining in, is more like dining out, but who cares….i will be back.
February 03 · Seamus McEvoyThis business just joined “too good to go” so we placed two orders. Was happy with the amount of food. We got two different types of chicken (the jerk one had rice as well), a huge container of rice and beans and two large containers of soup. Last night some of us got sick and it’s the three of the six people in my family who ate the food. Whoever didn’t eat the food is fine. My son had a small amount and he’s running to the bathroom for hours like my husband and myself. I think the soup was spoiled. I thought the flavor was a little odd but I’m not too familiar with Jamaican food and figured it was just the seasonings. I took all the left overs out of the fridge this morning. I found that the soup was bubbling on top. Unfortunately we aren’t taking any chances and all the food has been thrown away. It’s almost noon and we still are having to go to the bathroom even though we haven’t eaten anything since this food last night. We didn’t even eat much of the soup, I had a really small bowl so something is really wrong with it.
