Located in the picturesque and historic setting of Yorktown Heights, Westchester County, this American restaurant is far more than just a place to eat; it is a meticulously preserved piece of the region's past, operating out of a Revolutionary War-era colonial homestead dating back to the 18th century.
The establishment is classified as an American restaurant, a Bar, and a sophisticated dining spot, specializing in fine cuisine and warm hospitality since 1965. The atmosphere is described as upscale, yet inviting, attracting both groups for celebrations and individuals seeking a special solo dining experience.
The current iteration of Peter Pratt's Inn—under the stewardship of the Pelinku Family, its seventh owners—retains this historic soul while embracing modern culinary excellence. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Beautiful restaurant, super cozy and great atmosphere. Great service, amazing food and drinks. I had the mussels which were perfect, along with the frites steak with a delicious peppercorn sauce. The strawberry Moscow mule was just what I wanted as well. Definitely planning to come back. Only thing was it was a little chilly and am hoping the fireplace will be on the next time because that will also add to the cozy atmosphere.
October 14 · Ariel1st time at the Inn, celebrating our anniversary. Fabulous spot, a blend of early American history and sophisticated cuisine. We can't wait to come back!
May 02 · Joe FThe atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and the waiter's behavior was nice at the beginning. We ordered steak and asked for it to be cooked medium well, but it was served well done. Before finishing all the dishes, we told the waiter that any order that had meat in it was well done, not medium well. We said this is just for you to improve the quality of the food, so he told us that what I see in front of me is medium well and not as you claim. I told him that I want to ask the chef, and he said that he is busy. I said that I want to ask the manager, and his behavior was very bad, as if he was complaining about work. The manager came and his behavior was worse than the waiter's. Every time I told him something, he said to me that it is not you who teaches me. I told him that it was just advice. He said that I do not take advice from you nor do I take comments from you. The atmosphere was nice, the service was nice until we reached the last point, you as a manager must learn how to win the person over to your side and make him deal with you. The treatment was very rude from the waiter or the manager.
May 03 · خالد الغامديHad a very nice date night with my wife at Peter Pratt’s Inn. The property is beautiful, and with nice weather, we chose to sit outside. The service was very friendly, but as it started to get a little busier, we found ourselves waiting longer for the wait staff. The food was good, as we had the chef’s specials - lobster roll, roasted tomato and pepper soup, and butterflied shrimp appetizer. Their mango mojito mocktail was really good. I’m giving four stars only because while the food was good, it was rather pricey for quality. Our bill was about $100, and for that price I was expecting better than good. It was definitely delicious, but in my eyes not the “wow” I would have paid such a premium for. Also we weren’t told there was a $3 fee for credit cards. I get it if the amount is a small amount. But our bill before the fee was $97, and had they mentioned it, I would have happily given cash. Lost a star on that.Bottom line is that it’s a beautiful and romantic setting, good food, but rather expensive.
July 20 · Asad Ba-YunusFantastic dining experience! Peter Pratt’s Inn has incredible food, warm service, and a charming historic setting. Every dish was delicious. We can’t wait to come back!
