Pilot Introduce
When it comes to finding a unique and memorable dining or drinking experience in New York City, few places can compete with the charm and atmosphere of Pilot. More than just a bar or restaurant, Pilot is a floating oasis, nestled aboard a beautifully restored vintage schooner at Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park. This one-of-a-kind venue offers a captivating blend of history, breathtaking views, and a fresh, seafood-focused menu that makes it a must-visit destination. Whether you're a New Yorker looking for an escape from the concrete jungle or a tourist seeking a truly iconic city experience, Pilot promises a moment of tranquility and romance right on the water.
The concept, from the same team behind the popular Grand Banks in Manhattan, is all about celebrating the city's maritime heritage while providing an upscale, yet approachable, setting. The casual, cozy, and romantic atmosphere makes it a great spot for a date night, a gathering with friends, or simply a solo visit to take in the scenery. It's a place where the stunning ambiance is matched by the quality of its offerings, from nautically inspired cocktails to a carefully curated selection of fresh oysters and seasonal plates. Pilot is an experience that goes beyond the plate, inviting you to relax and soak in the "good vibes" of a perfect Brooklyn day or a magical Manhattan sunset.
Pilot is moored at Pier 6, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Brooklyn, NY 11201, USA. This highly desirable location offers unparalleled views of the Manhattan skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and the bustling New York Harbor. The restaurant is easily accessible from various parts of the city, with a variety of transportation options available.
The restaurant and pier are wheelchair accessible, with a wheelchair accessible entrance and seating. The location is well-connected by public transportation, including several subway lines (A/C, 2/3, 4/5, F, R) that serve the Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo area, as well as bus routes. Visitors can also arrive via the NYC Ferry at Pier 6 or Fulton Ferry Landing. While parking is limited and often metered nearby, a parking garage is available on the south side of 360 Furman Street, close to Pier 6. For those who prefer a more leisurely journey, a stroll through the scenic Brooklyn Bridge Park is the perfect prelude to a meal on the water.

The main draw is undoubtedly the combination of the stunning waterfront views and the unique setting on a historic boat. It's a place that is perfect for celebrating a special occasion, impressing a visitor to the city, or simply treating yourself to a truly beautiful moment.
From the menu, the raw bar is a standout. The fresh oysters, sourced from places like Wellfleet and Montauk, are a perfect choice to pair with one of their great cocktails or a glass of wine. Customer favorites often include the Lobster Roll, praised for its quality and flavor. For a more adventurous palate, the creative cocktails and small plates like the Tomato & Watermelon salad or the Scallop Ceviche are highly recommended. If you're visiting for brunch, the Avocado Toast & Poached Eggs or the French Toast are excellent choices that provide a refreshing start to the day. For a truly luxurious treat, the Caviar Service is an indulgent option that is worth the splurge.
The experience of dining on a docked boat adds to the charm, though it is worth noting the gentle rocking may not be suitable for those prone to motion sickness. However, for most, it simply enhances the feeling of being on a serene escape from city life. Whether you are coming for a full meal or just to enjoy some oysters and a drink at sunset, Pilot provides a romantic, memorable, and quintessentially New York experience that is well worth seeking out.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Oh, this place is definitely saved in my good vibes and experience Google folder. Amazing boat bar, with scenic Manhattan sunset views. Oysters 🦪, French fries and Negroni were our choices. We brought our friend while showing the city. She was very surprised and impressed, so am I.Recommending for sure. Thank you
May 17 · Gri ShiDining on a boat in the Brooklyn Bridge Park was a wonderful treat from the spectacular views to the small but fresh seafood forward menu. There is truly no bad seat in this place, though I will try to snag a reservation at the table at the bow of the boat for my next visit 😋Bear in mind that you are eating on a docked boat, so expect some rocking. Probably not the best choice for those who are prone to motion sickness.
September 28 · Bianca AgustinCame here for a celebratory dinner - such a beautiful view, special atmosphere, and delicious food. It was expensive but did feel worth it. It felt very romantic for two but I also saw many groups. It was a little wobbly when I was there, it didn’t bother me but something to keep in mind if you have sea sickness issues.
July 29 · Jasmine McAllisterAmazing place. Must visit for the view and atmosphere, and the boat itself is so unique. You have everything you need for a great time : good food, amazing view, pleasant music and great atmosphere overall. The staff were also great and professional. We had oysters, sea scallops and lobster salad and all the food was delicious. Great place for the special occasion for sure.
July 19 · Tanya YaroshIt was a last min reservation for 4:00pm which was the perfect time to go but plenty of people did walk-ins as well. The staff were nice and attentive. Food was delicious! Love the lobster roll. Scenery is great on the water. The cocktails were refreshing and made just right as well.
