★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Was in NYC for 5 days and this was in my top 2 meals. Service was impeccable and everyone was so kind. The green sauce is to die for. I wish I could have taken it home with me. I had the steak something and it was perfect - perfectly cooked, the seasoning was delicious. If you’re staying nearby you have to stop in!
September 26 · Jess BPollo D’Oro is such a quaint little gem tucked away in downtown Brooklyn. We tried the salmon, pollo saltado, and the creamy chicken — each dish was absolutely delicious and came in generous portions that left us more than satisfied. The flavors felt both comforting and elevated. What really stood out, though, were the cocktails — so unique and interesting, unlike the usual bar menu, and they paired beautifully with the food. Warm, cozy atmosphere with food and drinks that truly hit the spot. Definitely a place worth coming back to!
September 13 · Rekha KarnaPollo D’Oro is a charming spot in downtown Brooklyn that truly delivers on authentic Peruvian flavors. We had the salmon with cilantro rice, pollo saltado, and the creamy chicken — every dish was flavorful, hearty, and felt like a genuine taste of Peru. The cilantro rice with the salmon was especially delicious and memorable. Portion sizes are generous, the cocktails are creative and unique, and the service was warm and attentive throughout. A perfect little gem for anyone craving authentic Peruvian food with a welcoming atmosphere.
September 13 · Rekha KarnaUpdate:The manager reached out, apologized and offered to replace the Jalea and made sure it was clean, and it was! It came with pickled onions and the green garlic sauce which was good.It really showed how much Pollo D'Oro cared about making it right. They care about customers. It's a shame Door Dash isn't the same. It was ordered through Door Dash and Door Dash should have solved the problem. Instead, Pollo D'Oro had to step in.Ordered Pollo D'Oro for a company lunch through Door Dash, which was a mistake. The Jalea (fried seafood) had hair wrapped around the Yucca that was on the seafood. Even though I sent the picture to Door Dash, they refused to have Pollo D'Oro redeliver and they also refused to refund it.This was the first time I used Door Dash to order delivery and I regret it. Door Dash doesn't care to right their wrongs. They don't care about their customers. They don't care about quality.
April 22 · Jess ♪If you’re looking for a delicious Peruvian restaurant with indoor and bar seating then come to Pollo D’Oro located in Brooklyn.Food/drinks: The drinks were made very well and were strong but with good flavor. The food we had was so delicious. I was happy with the steak sandwich and the pasta we ordered. The green sauce on the pasta tasted extra fresh and light.Atmosphere: The place has Peruvian decor and has just the right amount of indoor and bar seating to make it comfortable. They do speak English and Spanish here.Price: The prices here are fairly normal for the prices of restaurants in this location in Brooklyn. You can also go during their happy hour to catch the deals on certain food and beverages.Parking: There is street parking available in the area but it’s very crowded just like everywhere in NYC. We walked here since we were staying about a 10 min walk away.
