Reisman's Bakery Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For New Yorkers who appreciate a rich slice of history alongside their morning pastry, Reisman's Bakery stands as an iconic Brooklyn institution. Established in Bensonhurst in 1962 by two Holocaust survivor brothers, Avrum (the baker) and Berel (the salesman) Reisman, this bakery has evolved from a local favorite into a nationally recognized name in quality kosher baked goods. Reisman's is not just a typical local bakery; it is a powerful combination of a traditional neighborhood shop, a modern Manufacturer, and a significant Wholesaler, having pioneered the concept of selling packaged kosher baked goods in groceries and supermarkets across the country.
More than 50 years later, the bakery continues its commitment to time-honored recipes, using premium flours, 100% real cocoa, and 100% pure honey, ensuring the flavors are authentic and memorable. The brand is a household icon for kosher food consumers, with their tantalizing rugelach, pastries, and world-famous Hamantashen satisfying a diverse customer base. Though they have achieved national reach, the business maintains a family-owned and family-oriented approach, emphasizing human customer service over robotic systems.
The enduring success of Reisman's Bakery in the competitive New York market is a testament to their innovative spirit and dedication to quality. They offer a comprehensive catalog of treats, from classic Chocolate Sliced Babka and Cinnamon Sliced Babka to their ingenious Brownie Bar, which has become a best-selling sensation. Whether you are seeking a quick snack, a festive dessert, or a wholesale order for your own business, Reisman's continues to bake goods that are woven into the family traditions and memories of New Yorkers across the boroughs.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Used to be the best chocolate babka. Been so disappointed the last few times I purchased it. Hardly any chocolate and dry. What used to be moist and overloaded with chocolate now resembles a raisin bread!! Why?
July 27 · BecThis business deserves all the support it can get from the locals. The fact that it's been in business since 1962 is incredible. And the customer service is great. Five stars
May 24 · Abe SiterThis is specific to an online order. I ordered prune hamentashen the day before Purim. This ought to be a no-brainer and the hamentashen should have arrived as good as good could be. No such luck. Each of the 10 tasted like they were sitting on a shelve maybe for a month...maybe longer. That's not just my opinion. I shared them. I will say that the speed I got them is impressive. However, FedEx is responsible for that.
March 14 · Harvey WNot only do they make the best chocolate babka in the world their customer service is top notch. I had an issue with shipping, and they fixed it instantly.
