★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This was a perfect place to stop on the way back from a night out in the West Village. We were visiting a friend in the UES and when the group said we needed a slice of pizza, she said "wait, let me put you on real quick" and shepherded us to this glowing haven amid the city at night.I ordered what I call a Tie Dye slice as well as a meat lovers slice. Both were thin, crispy, and tasty. The meat lovers left something to be desired but the Tie Dye... I don't even know where to begin. It was a flavor explosion and I will be dreaming about that slice for the next few months.Service was quick and convenient
April 28 · Wyatt CannonRoma Pizza has two very different sides depending on the time of day. In the afternoon, the food and staff are excellent — the pizza is fresh, tasty, and the service is always friendly and welcoming. Everything feels clean, and I’ve never had any stomach issues eating there later in the day. However, in the mornings, it’s been a completely different experience. The food doesn’t taste as good, and unfortunately, every time I’ve eaten there in the morning, I ended up sick with stomach problems. Because of that, I now only go in the afternoons, where it’s consistently much better. If you’re planning to eat here, I definitely recommend sticking to the afternoon for the best experience.
August 29 · Martin HeninMy pizza dough wasn’t cooked throughly. NOT ONLY THAT THE GIRL THAT WORKS THERE WAS IGNORING ME BEING RUDE HANDING ME MY MONEY IN A RUDE WAY AND THREW MY SODA ON THE COUNTERTOP until I addressed her she wanted to be smiling acting all confused. Not how you treat customers don’t recommend.
April 11 · MarieeeFive stars all around, of course within the context that this is a slice shop and "atmosphere" here refers to facts like tables are always clean and maintained.Like everywhere in Manhattan, there are a plethora of pizza places in the UES neighborhood, but this is one of the best ones- both in terms of price and quality. They offer a wide variety of options, as is expected, but also have weekly specialty pies... if you're lucky enough to come when they have the white pie with pesto, GET IT, it's absolutely wonderful! The staff are cheerful and friendly,In short? Five out of five, ten out of ten, no notes. Keep it up, guys, you're doing great!
August 11 · Will MazurMediocre pizza at best, the rest of the non Pizza menu is lousy, and there's a lot of route of noxious behavior from employees and even drunken customers looking for trouble.I went here a number ofl times, on and off over a number of years and practically each time (especially at night) it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had in a pizzeria. The pizza is not great, and is oftentimes old, dried, shriveled or "cheap" in quality.... especially some of the specialty slices. The rest of the food on the menu is actually much worse than the pizza. The owner has some of he rudest, nastiest, angriest employees behind the counter... Especially when he's not there or busy in the back. I guess the owner can't be there from opening tine to closing time when you close after midnight. One time owner would tell you can have or do something a certain way then the employee would start shouting and screaming at you in Spanish... Including making threat, because he figured I couldn't understand Spanish. Many of the customers are late-night drunks, not just young ones... even old ones who are belligerent and cause trouble and ruin your meal. Management and the good employees have no control over what's going on in there... I've had horrible experiences at 11:00 a.m. and at 1:00 a.m.too. like someone else said, you would never choose to go here for the food.
