ROYCE' Bryant Park Introduce
Tucked away in a hotel near the bustling Bryant Park, ROYCE' is a true hidden gem for anyone with a love for high-quality, unique sweets. Originating from Sapporo, Japan, ROYCE' is a globally recognized chocolate manufacturer known for its exquisite and meticulous craftsmanship. The Bryant Park location, while a small boutique, serves as a fantastic gateway to their world-class confections. It is a place where every detail is considered, from the presentation to the packaging, ensuring that each purchase is a special experience. This is not just a candy store; it's a destination for chocolate connoisseurs and those looking for a taste of authentic Japanese confectionery art.
The star of the show at ROYCE' is undoubtedly their legendary Nama Chocolate. Nama, which means "raw" or "fresh" in Japanese, refers to a type of ganache made with fresh cream and melted cacao. This results in an incredibly soft, silky, and melt-in-your-mouth texture that is unlike any other chocolate. Customers are often surprised by the richness and unique mouthfeel, and the flavor varieties—including matcha, bitter, and champagne—offer something for every palate. Due to its high moisture content, Nama Chocolate is kept refrigerated and is sold with a complimentary cooling bag, a thoughtful touch that highlights the brand's commitment to quality.
Beyond the Nama Chocolate, the shop offers other must-try items that have become fan favorites. The chocolate-covered potato chips are a surprising and addictive treat, perfectly balancing the salty crunch of the chips with the sweet decadence of the chocolate. Their fruit bars and various chocolate bars and squares also provide a delightful array of flavors and textures. The small size of the boutique allows for a focused and quick visit, but the friendly and knowledgeable staff are always on hand to offer samples and guide you through the selection, making it an inviting and personal experience. Whether you're a long-time fan or a curious newcomer, ROYCE' promises to deliver an unforgettable dessert experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is one of my favorite Japanese confectioneries. (TY to the show “Strong Woman bong soon” for making me aware of it) It’s a small boutique inside the hotel with only one window showcasing the location. The entrance is to the left once you enter the hotel. Their fruit bars are probably my favorite. The Nama chocolates are also very good & come in a variety of flavors including some seasonal ones & some with a touch of alcohol. The Nama chocolates are refrigerated in the center of the store & when purchased are placed in a cooling bag of sorts. They also sell chocolate covered potato chips as well as various bars & chocolate squares with a fruit filling. They also have an assortment of matcha based chocolates. As well as chocolates with nuts for those who aren’t allergic. It’s a little pricey but soooo good. The next time your by Bryant Park give your sweet tooth a treat.
September 06 · J B CRoyce chocolates are legendary in Japan and this location has been serving the neighborhood with a wide assortment of melt in your mouth morsels of chocolaty goodness for over 10 years. The selection in this shop is more than you’ll encounter returning from Narita airport duty-free, which is always a favorite takeaway for my family when leaving Japan. The taste is unique, creamy & just simply amazing. If you’re near Bryant park do yourself a favor & stop by this shop across the street on the south side of the park. Your tastebuds will thank you! If you’re not wanting it in the house just get yourself one of the delectable free samples. Yes, free samples! No judgement here! The staff was kind & helpful, and the shop clean & bright. See my photos.
March 09 · Howard “Howie” TranThe staff were very nice and friendly. This was my first time here. They have a good selection of chocolate. I got matcha and champagne flavored today. They were both delicious. It was silky and had a very nice consistency. It melts in moth nice and slowly. I had a great time shopping here and had an even better time savoring it at home. Highly recommended!
March 01 · Bradley CCute shop with good use of space! The chocolates are really delicious and I love how they have seasonal options available. I really enjoy the chocolate covered potato chips and the Nama chocolate is SOOO creamy.Camille was so nice on my visit and showed me around the shop highlighting all kinds of tasty items and sampling delicious treats as well. I picked up a seasonal box of chocolate and pistachio cream bears, white chocolate fromage covered chips, and chocolate covered chips.I love how if you purchase the Nama chocolate they will put it in a cooler bag for you to travel with.Looking for a a unique and tasty gift or wanting to treat yourself? This is the way to go!
June 23 · Vee Food LifeOur friend needed something special for a coworker who was just promoted. We came here so she could purchase champagne chocolate. While she was getting extra special service, we were tasting a few of the samples. Our favorite was the white chocolate. We purchased a bar of the white chocolate & received the same exemplary service as our friend, including a small cold pack to keep our chocolate fresh until we got out of the heat & could put it in the fridge! This was our first time here. The shop is small and cozy, with welcoming staff. When we return to NYC, we’ll be back. We want to taste - and buy! - more of these exquisite delicacies!
