August 30 · Karen GarzónReally lovely little wine bar, we had fabulous service from our waitress who really knew her stuff.Recommended a lovely acidic Spanish white which we loved! Pretty well priced for a bottle of wine.Highly recommend for a sunny arvo in Williamsburg.
April 22 · Rebecca DrumI typically don’t leave google reviews but I just had to stop by to give this space their flowers. I reserved an outdoor table to celebrate by birthday for 20 guests in the late afternoon. The service for one was amazing. It was like having our own personal sommelier. They brought over wines based on our stated preferences, food, and clean glasses to replace the old throughout the afternoon into the evening. When we arrived, Sauced was backed with guests, seated out front, inside, and outback. The vibe was just so welcoming and inviting and high spirited. You can tell they’ve built an amazing community of patrons over the years. I just can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed celebrating my birthday here so thank you Sauced. Consider hosting a special event or simply popping in with a friend or two to enjoy their amazing selection of wines.
September 14 · Sheya JabouinFun concept that they’ve absolutely ruined with rude and impersonal service. We got in, someone started helping us, surveying what wines we liked, and then went off to get our wines. While we waited, another employee came over, greeted us, and started asking us the same questions. I politely interjected that I think another employee was already helping us. He (aggressively) said, “and I’m telling you that I’m helping you now”. We were all a bit stunned. The other employee came back, and they had some kind of weird tense interaction. Bizarre vibes. The actual selection process of the wines is pretentious and unhelpful. My friend tried her wine, said it was a bit too sweet for her, and the employee asked condescendingly, “are you sure? you know there’s no added sugar in there, right?”. Later on, another friend came by and they asked what she liked, she said “orange wine” and they just went off to grab a wine without any follow-up. What’s the point of having no menu if you’re not going to put any effort into finding out what the customer wants? Just an overall bad experience.
August 15 · GriffinGreat wines, great vibes. But was asked to leave the backyard because I did not have a drink in hand. Was solo so was drinking fast - had 2 glasses within 30 minutes! Was asked to move for other folks that were actively drinking. Posting for constructive feedback!
