★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If you’re looking for artisanal, flavorful, high quality coffee then The Coffee Maker is your spot! As someone who has sought out local coffee from Cuba, Costa Rica, and Italy, I have yet to find a comparable coffee shop state-side that has the quality of coffee I get from The Coffee Maker. You truly taste the robust flavor and aromas of the coffee without it being overpowering or bitter. They know what they’re doing and how to do it, and nothing else compares! The staff are amazing, the ambiance is welcoming and cozy, they’ve got dog friendly sidewalk seating and homemade dog biscuits, and the coffee experience is worth it! Ditch the corporate big name watered down “coffee shops” and support this local gem, you’ll wish you had sooner!
May 19 · JanelleSuch a great addition to the neighborhood! Everyone who works here is so kind and personable. The coffee options are vast and all incredibly tasty and flavorful. As someone who never had a taste for ‘nicer’ coffee, the experience at the coffee maker has completely changed my perception. 1,000% more enjoyable and worthwhile than the options available at chain competitors. Highly recommend!
July 08 · James BI went here for the first time with my husband. Getting here was nice & easy as it’s past all of the congested parts of Main Street. It’s in a more remote-feeling area (Maple Street off of Main) but still incredibly close to 304 & Main. There was also plenty of street parking available when we went around 8 AM.My husband got a regular drip coffee and I got a drip coffee with their Pistachio syrup. I’ve tried a lot of different coffees, including artisan ones, and this one is so delicious! It’s so smooth, perfectly bitter, and overall an enjoyable treat! As the week goes on, I find myself craving their coffee. Fun fact—the owner roasts the coffee by himself, so you are getting the freshest roasted coffee! It’s rare to see coffee shops doing this as they usually buy the beans roasted already. Having them freshly roasted elevates the coffee’s flavor SO much more and it’s so worth a try just for that alone! We also had the pumpkin biscotti which was delicious and a perfect addition to our morning coffee. As for the price, I think it is very reasonable. For one large coffee, one medium coffee, and two freshly-made biscotti’s that were pretty big, it cost $15. That averages out to $3.75 per item, which is a very fair price to pay for what you’re getting, especially in this economy. The atmosphere is a 5/5 in my opinion. It’s cozy, has plenty of seating, including outdoor seating, and the staff as well as the owner are incredibly kind!I’m so happy we have a local coffee shop like this in our community! It’s in a great location, a wonderful environment, with genuinely great-tasting coffee!
November 07 · OlgaSmall, locally owned coffee shop. Awesome addition to New City, located right off S Main St on Maple Ave. Coffee is excellent and price point is spot on (you definitely get what you pay for). John, the owner, is kind and greets you as you walk in. Finally, besides the overall aesthetic, locality, and quality of this shop…THEY ROAST THEIR BEANS IN HOUSE (note the beautiful beast of a roaster as you enter on your right side). You are getting freshly, 2-3 day-roasted caffeinated goodness in their drinks. Hence, their exceptional flavor and quality. Highly recommend you give them a try and support this local addition to our community 👍P.S. Their flavored syrups are organic and they offer a variety of artisan biscotti
November 08 · TimWhat a pleasant place to drink a delicious coffee....10/10 service, coffee and environment...cozy, good vibes...after hiking and lunch was the perfect ending for sunday's adventures....don't Miss it..by the way the fresh and warm cookies was delicious...thank you..!!
