★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1A new spot that recently opened in Long Island City. The interior is spacious and very clean. They offer a wide variety of items—from coffee and tea to French-style desserts and sandwiches. They also sell boxed cakes and cookies, which make great gifts or are convenient to bring to events. As for the cakes, they look beautiful, but the taste is actually quite ordinary. I think with a little more creativity or refinement, they could elevate the flavor to match the appearance😉
June 09 · S. B.Beautiful new bakery in Astoria, close to the Broadway train station. Modern and elegant aesthetic, plenty of seating space, and lots of variety in savory and sweet treats. Amazing service and quality. We tried several desserts including the Oreo Bomb and the Apple Dulce. Very delicious! Can't wait to stop by for more!
May 31 · Najeeb AbdullahThe French Workshop is one of my favorite coffee spots in Astoria. The space is open and inviting, with a calm atmosphere that’s perfect for relaxing or getting work done. It also looks like they bake everything in-house, which adds to the charm. I only tried the cold brew this time, but the pastries looked incredible—I'll definitely be back to sample those next time.Protip: They have their own app! Download it for future discounts!
June 19 · Alex GThe new French Workshop in Astoria is everything you'd want in a modern French bakery — elegant interior, friendly service, and truly exceptional food. I stopped in for a quick coffee and ended up staying longer than planned, just soaking in the vibe. The sandwiches are fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned, making it a great lunch option whether you're dining in or taking it to go. But the real standout was the crème brûlée — perfectly torched with a silky vanilla custard that melts in your mouth. It's hands-down one of the best I’ve had in NYC.This spot is going to be a local favorite in no time. Whether you're grabbing a cappuccino on the go or settling in for a sweet treat and some laptop time, French Workshop Astoria delivers.
April 08 · George Panagopoulos at Douglas Elliman RealestateI came here with my husband and my sister for dessert. It’s a cute bakery with plenty of seating. We all thought the desserts we had were just ok, and not good enough for a repeat visit. We had some cookies, a carrot cake, a chocolate cheesecake, a cheesecake brownie, and some other chocolate dessert. They were all just ok with the chocolate cheesecake being the best of all, but still not great. The worst was the cheesecake brownie. It wasn’t chocolaty and the cheesecake on top tasted off. With all the dessert places in Astoria this one isn’t worth a visit.
