Owner’s old restaurant used to be on East Broadway but closed during COVID. The food back then was excellent and I’d missed all the traditional Cantonese dishes. My sister mentioned owner had opened this new place on Hester Street and invited me for my birthday brunch. The owner recognized me and she made me felt at home right away. The food was just as delicious from my recollection. Roast duck was a delight, crisp skin and tender meat. Fried fish with vegetables is a definite recommendation, as with the beef chow fun. Salted fish and chicken fried rice is an acquired taste but popular among the Cantonese folks. Atmosphere is calm, clean, and wait staff is courteous and knows when to pop in and out without being obtrusive.

Juicy and tender—not dry at all.🍖 Char Siu Ribs – Don’t just stick to char siu pork—try the ribs! Crispy on the outside, tender inside, with a rich, savory glaze. The meat near the bone is irresistibly flavorful.🍚 Yangzhou Fried Rice – Insane value for the price. It comes piled high with plenty of toppings—char siu, shrimp, egg, ham, and peas. A true feast!🥩 Peking-Style Pork Ribs – A crowd favorite! Each rib is huge and meaty, served steaming hot with a fruity, tangy-sweet sauce that makes it incredibly satisfying with rice.🍤 Shrimp Rice Noodle Roll – Smooth, silky rice noodles wrapped around plump, bouncy shrimp. Simple but so comforting.🍜 Beef Brisket & Wonton Noodle Soup – A classic Hong Kong dish done right! Tender, beefy brisket, plump wontons, delicate thin noodles, and a light, savory broth—pure comfort in a bowl.

When I’m in Chinatown, I usually stick to the same places, but I was looking to try something new and I’m so glad I found Ting Wong! The food was amazing, the staff were super friendly, and the place was clean with the AC blasting — perfect on a hot day. They even bring you some tea to start, which I love.We ordered the spicy tofu dish, spring rolls, and chicken lo mein — everything was delicious and top notch. They also sell a lot of roast duck; we saw at least ten local regulars coming in just to pick up their ducks. You know it’s good when longtime Chinatown locals line up for it!I love spots like this. Ting Wong is definitely one of my new favorites in Chinatown. Can’t wait to go back!

I had a wonderful experience at this Chinese restaurant! The place is very clean and well-maintained, which immediately made a great impression. The staff is respectful and provides fast, attentive service. The food is absolutely delicious, with a great variety of dishes to choose from, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a tasty and affordable meal in a pleasant atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back!

The portions are so large for the price and food is absolutely delicious! We got full by ordering three dishes for four, with only $10/person. Hot tea at the table. Roasted duck was a miracle.
