What is Worth Choosing at Wheel Bagels
When visiting Wheel Bagels, customers are drawn to its core offerings and impressive menu depth. The most popular items are typically those that reflect the classic New York breakfast and deli experience. The bagels themselves are the foundation, offered in classic flavors like Plain, Everything, Sesame, and Pumpernickel. Pairing a fresh bagel with one of their specialty egg sandwiches or cream cheese spreads is a time-honored tradition here. The breakfast specialties, such as the Lox Special (fresh lox, capers, red onion, tomatoes, and cream cheese spread) and the ABC Special (2 eggs, avocado, bacon, & cheddar cheese on a bagel, roll, or plate), are highly sought after by those looking for a filling start to their day. These specials highlight the quality ingredients and the classic preparation style that locals expect from a top-tier bagel shop.
Beyond breakfast, the extensive deli and lunch options offer another realm of choice. Patrons frequently choose the ALL DAY LUNCH SPECIALS, which often feature classics like the Philly Cheesesteak, Chicken Parmigiana, or the quintessential Brooklyn Chop Cheese sandwich. These hot sandwiches provide a substantial, flavorful meal, perfect for a lunch break. The option to build your own deli sandwich or wrap is also a major draw, allowing New Yorkers to customize their perfect meal from a selection of meats, cheeses, and fresh vegetables.
It is important for customers to communicate their preferences clearly, especially regarding preparation specifics. For instance, while most customers enjoy a perfectly toasted bagel for a nice crunch and warmth, as with any high-volume service, specific requests need careful attention. One customer noted a disappointing experience when a request for "very toasted" resulted in a burnt bagel, stating, "i couldn’t even eat the bagel because all i tasted was BURNT??" This highlights the importance of precise ordering, perhaps by simply asking for "extra toasted" instead of "very toasted," to ensure the desired outcome is achieved without overdoing it.
Ultimately, Wheel Bagels' comprehensive menu and dedication to serving classic New York fare—from freshly baked bagels and specialty omelettes to hearty deli sandwiches and burgers—make it a valuable and convenient resource for the Bay Ridge community. The store’s reliability as a one-stop shop for diverse meal needs solidifies its position as a local favorite.

Wheel Bagels Reviews
my mom told me not to leave this review but i’m annoyed. she traveled all the way from staten island just to get me an avocado, egg, and cheese on a bagel. she specifically asked for it very toasted because the last time she ordered, they didn’t toast it AT ALL. well this time they seriously overdid it. this isn’t toasted this is BURNT. like they really looked at this charred bagel and thought, yeah this is good to go?? i’ve asked for “very toasted” at plenty of other places and have never gotten something this bad. i’m super disappointed. i couldn’t even eat the bagel because all i tasted was BURNT??

January 09 · Steven NechamkinThis place has great bagels. The kind you expect from a NYC bagel place, crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. As a vegan I’m happy to share they have tofu cream cheese, plain and veggie. So good with tomato, red onion and capers on a toasted whole wheat everything bagel. Yum!!Place is clean and staff is friendly. Worth a visit for breakfast or lunch.
May 04 · TL BIt's been 30 years since I left Brooklyn. Things have changed, but you can still get a good bagel locally. They've been in business for a year, no doubt they've had their ups and downs, but they are great people, provide great service, have great bagels, and I wish them success. Thanks for the bagel, toasted with double butter. It was a snowy.Remember my advice. Things won't change until you do something.
