The primary reason to choose this restaurant is its unique and authentic menu, which goes far beyond what is typically offered in a standard Indian restaurant. The menu's focus on both Indian and Nepalese cuisine, particularly the inclusion of traditional Nepalese dishes, is a significant draw. A satisfied customer has even declared the Nepali food here to be the "best one in New York City," and praised the passion that is "tasted in his cooking," a direct reference to the owner-chef.
While one customer had a less-than-perfect experience with a specific dish, finding the fish to be "bland and a bit chewy," this stands in contrast to the strong positive feedback the restaurant receives for its overall vibe and many of its other dishes. This highlights the restaurant's commitment to creating a great environment, and while individual tastes can vary, the passion behind the cooking, as noted by a loyal patron, is undeniable. The menu is a treasure trove of unique dishes; for instance, the various Momo options alone are a reason to visit. The Newari Thali offers an authentic and comprehensive set meal that is a must-try for those new to the cuisine.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve tried nepali khana in almost every Nepali restaurants, this place serves the best one in New York City hands down. The owner himself is the chef and you can just taste the passion in his cooking. My go to is Dry Pork. Too good.
June 11 · Shaswot MallaThis restaurant has a great aesthetic and a really nice vibe, but I wasn't very impressed with the food. We ordered pork chhoila and a deep-fried whole fish. The pork was spicy and flavorful, but the fish was bland and a bit chewy. Authentic Nepali fried fish should have a more robust flavor profile with hints of Szechuan and ginger, but this one fell short. We probably won't be coming back.
August 07 · Richa AdhikariWe loved the veg momos in pink cream sauce! I had never had anything like it before. The veg Hakka noodles were delicious and totally on point. The Newari thali was a unique experience and highly recommend getting that if you haven't tried it before. We would not be getting the chilli mushrooms again as they were not as well sauteed as we would have liked them to be. I will definitely visit this place again!
December 28 · Shashirekha MundhraThe food was okay. I was not given the option to select tip. They took 20% as a default tip themselves. I won't go back again. No value for money.
October 22 · Meele ShresthaThis is the best place for Newari cuisine in queens. They offer lots of authentic Newari dishes and all of them are authentic. I always order Newari thali set whenever I visit this place . And the dish is soo tasty with varieties of meat and vegetables choices. Their momo is not fresh whenever I order which is bad. Waitress lady was so helpful in navigating the menu and serving the food properly along with the refills. There was live music when we visited there for the second time which was wonderful specially in Nepali restaurant.I think they need to update their menu on Google since prices are all wrong which might mislead customers.Other than that good place for Nepali food in Queens.
