Introduction / Overview
Zoe Deli Grocery is a dedicated local market and eatery that bridges the gap between quick-service convenience and traditional Caribbean cuisine. Situated in the South Bronx, it caters directly to the community's demand for fast, hot, and culturally relevant food. Unlike standard delis that might only offer classic American fare, Zoe Deli specializes in staples like the Dominican "Chimi" Burger, Yaroa, and Pasteles (Empanadas), providing a taste of home and authentic street food flavor.
The emphasis here is on flavorful, hearty meals and the popular Dominican tradition of "frituras" or fried meats. From individual meat platters to a large mix platter that can feed up to seven people, it's a go-to for family dinners or game-day feasts. Additionally, they offer a variety of refreshing beverages, including classic sodas and freshly prepared natural juices and batidos (milkshakes). For local residents in need of a quick, familiar, and satisfying bite, Zoe Deli Grocery serves as an indispensable neighborhood fixture, ready to fulfill orders for takeout and delivery.

What is Worth Choosing
When visiting Zoe Deli Grocery, it’s highly recommended to gravitate towards the Dominican specialties where the deli’s expertise truly lies. The Dominican "Chimi" Burger is a must-try for those seeking an authentic and flavor-packed street food experience that differentiates it from a regular hamburger. Unlike traditional burgers, the Chimi features a unique blend of seasonings and toppings that make it a local favorite.
For a communal meal or a serious appetite, the Frituras and Meat Platters, particularly the Chicharrón De Cerdo (Crispy Pork Rind), are a highlight. Ordering a 1, 2, or 3 Meat Platter provides a variety of perfectly fried meats—ideal for a weekend gathering or a quick dinner solution when you're feeding the whole family or several friends.
Finally, ensure your order is complemented by one of their fresh beverages. A creamy Banana Shake (Batido De Guineo) is the perfect, cold, and refreshing counterpoint to the savory, fried flavors of the main dishes. For a quick visit, grabbing a couple of Pastelitos (Empanadas) and a Natural Juice provides a fast, satisfying, and authentically Bronx meal. While the deli excels in unique Latin comfort food, customers should be aware of ordering online and be ready to clearly specify desired toppings or meat choices to ensure the perfect customized meal.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I ordered a salchipapas that was supposed to have a cheese sauce and they didn't put it. The chimi didn't have enough cabbage and I feel like they over charge for the food.
December 17 · j rWe ordered online because we were super hungry and wanted to give this place a try. The website has you pick for certain stuff both a drink and an empanada & on the Deli’s computer it didnt show the FREE empanada it was offering. I called and the girl very kindly explained it to me.I ordered a Yoro and the pic shows strips of steak & i got shredded chicken instead. Which is fine, i guess. But I honestly didn’t enjoy it because the cook put too much vinegar & mayoketchup & i saw no lettuce or tomato as pictured. Also got a BLT hero but that’s not what I actually received. I got a hero with the shredded chicken that was put in the Yoro.A burger (for my 10yr old) & it came with no cheese but lots of mayoketchup & vingear which drench the shredded lettuce & the paper thin tomato slice it had. The fries were bland & too soft.Order a steak (bistec) chimi on a hero & instead it came with ground beef, which obviously not the same thing & again the fries were bland and soft.Overall I was disappointed with the food.I had high hopes. I didn’t call back a 2nd time to complain cause I didnt think there was much that would’ve been done anyways. Plus we were all starving & just ate it cause we needed to eat.I am not looking for a refund or another order but more of a heads up for others who order as well as for the owners to make sure things are done better.Don’t see myself ordering in the near future but hope maybe if I ever do again that I don’t experience the same thing.
