Unlike some of the flashier establishments in the area, Abajo’s charm lies in its simplicity and the genuine warmth of its setting. It's a place where the focus is squarely on the quality of what’s being served and the comfort of the patrons. This has earned it a loyal following among New Yorkers who appreciate a no-frills, high-quality experience. The word “speakeasy” often conjures images of exclusivity and a dress code, but Abajo redefines the concept with its approachable, laid-back vibe, proving that great things don't have to be complicated. The establishment’s commitment to providing a top-notch experience is evident in every detail, from the expertly crafted drinks to the attentive service. It’s a true neighborhood gem that stands out by simply being excellent at what it does.

I recommend trying the one love cocktail, gyro taco, fried guacamole, bacon jam burger, fried rice burrito, chocolate taco with pistachio ice cream. Overall one of the best speakeasy I've been too. Everyone should go try this speakeasy place.
June 17 · Rafael YauThe magaritas are pretty good. It's really what they do. We only had the appetizers and they were good as well. Service was fast and attentive. Recommended if you are craving decent South American fare.
May 03 · U ShahGreat food and drinks! Located on the lower level of anejo. Pineapple mojito was wonderful. Good food, had street corn (yum!), empanadas and fried guacamole (super yum!).
