Alidoro Introduce
In a city that prides itself on a diverse and vibrant food scene, the simple art of the sandwich holds a special place. For many New Yorkers, a great sandwich is the ultimate comfort food, a quick and satisfying meal that can be enjoyed on the go or savored during a break. Alidoro, a celebrated name in the world of Italian sandwiches, brings its culinary expertise to the bustling Long Island City neighborhood. Located within the popular JACX&CO food hall, Alidoro offers a taste of authentic Italian flavors in a setting that is both modern and inviting. It’s more than just a sandwich shop; it's an experience that transports you with every bite, blending traditional ingredients with a distinctly New York energy. The reputation of Alidoro is built on its commitment to quality and authenticity. The brand is known for its carefully curated menu, featuring a range of sandwiches that pay homage to classic Italian combinations. While individual tastes may vary, the overall dedication to fresh ingredients and thoughtful construction is evident. The "Giovanni" sandwich, for example, combines Gran Biscotto ham, provolone, shredded iceberg, and fresh tomatoes with a hot spread and basil pesto cream, showcasing a complex blend of flavors and textures. This attention to detail is what draws a loyal following of food lovers who appreciate the craft behind each sandwich. Even the beverage options, such as the unique Nutella cappuccino, reflect a willingness to innovate while staying true to a rich flavor profile. This balance of tradition and creativity is a key part of Alidoro's identity, making it a standout choice for anyone seeking a truly memorable lunch or dinner.
Alidoro is conveniently located at 28-17 Jackson Ave, placing it squarely within the dynamic Long Island City community. Its specific spot inside the JACX&CO food hall offers an added layer of accessibility and convenience. For New Yorkers, this means a straightforward and hassle-free dining experience. The location on Jackson Avenue is highly accessible by public transit, with multiple subway lines and bus routes serving the area, making it an easy trip from Manhattan, Brooklyn, or other parts of Queens.
The JACX&CO food hall itself is a significant part of the appeal. It provides a clean, well-maintained, and spacious environment with plenty of seating. This is particularly appealing for diners who prefer not to feel cramped. The communal seating and vibrant atmosphere make it an ideal place to meet friends for a casual meal or to grab a quick bite during a workday. For those living or working in the immediate vicinity of Queens Plaza North and Long Island City, Alidoro offers a prime option for a quick, delicious, and convenient meal. The location within a food hall also means you have other amenities and options nearby, adding to the overall convenience and accessibility of the spot.
While a sandwich shop might seem to offer a limited range of services, Alidoro's model within the food hall environment provides a streamlined and efficient experience for its customers.
- Takeout: Given its location and the nature of its product, takeout is a primary and highly efficient service option. You can place an order and quickly grab your sandwich to go, perfect for a busy schedule.
- Dine-in: The communal seating areas within the JACX&CO food hall serve as the dine-in space for Alidoro. This allows customers to enjoy their meal in a relaxed and comfortable setting, surrounded by the lively atmosphere of the food hall.
- Coffee and Drinks: Beyond sandwiches, Alidoro offers a selection of beverages, including unique options like a Nutella cappuccino. This adds another layer to the experience and provides a full-service feel beyond just food.
The simplicity of these services is intentional, focusing on the core product—the sandwich—while providing the necessary options for a modern dining experience. The efficient service ensures that even during peak hours, the wait is minimal, making it an excellent choice for a lunch break.
What truly sets Alidoro apart are its unique features and highlights, which elevate it beyond a typical sandwich shop.
- Located Inside JACX&CO Food Hall: This is a significant feature. Being part of a curated food hall means Alidoro benefits from a larger, shared space with a sophisticated atmosphere, rather than a small, standalone storefront. It provides a clean and beautiful environment for customers to enjoy their meals.
- Quality Ingredients: Alidoro is known for its use of high-quality ingredients, from the Gran Biscotto ham to the fresh vegetables and unique spreads. This commitment to quality is what gives their sandwiches their distinctive and sought-after flavor.
- Focus on Authentic Italian Flavors: The menu is a celebration of Italian cuisine, with sandwiches that are inspired by traditional combinations and flavors. This authenticity is a major draw for people seeking a genuine taste of Italy.
- Unique Beverage Offerings: The inclusion of drinks like the Nutella cappuccino shows a creative and adventurous side to the menu. While not for everyone, it signals a willingness to experiment and provide a memorable experience.

Alidoro Reviews
This eatery/restaurant is inside of the JACX&CO food hall in QPN/Long Island City, Queens. The service and atmosphere is nice/good. The eatery is beautiful inside. I ordered the “Giovanni” sandwich, which is Gran Biscotto ham, provolone, shredded iceberg, red onion, fresh tomatoes, hot spread, and basil pesto cream. I ordered the sandwich on “ciabatta” bread. The sandwich was ok/good but I was really not a fan in terms of the flavor and the quality and that is why I rate it a 3/5. I also ordered a Nutella cappuccino and that was different, brave, and good. My photos are attached of my experience and what I ordered!
June 27 · Tayler FisherI will caveat this by saying that I’ll have to come back and update this review if I ever get a sandwich here since that’s what they seem to be known for but in terms of the coffee, I’d recommend Partners down the street. The latte just tasted like milk and the Nutella cappuccino wasn’t much better but I have some hopes for the sandwiches on another day!
February 24 · Gurleen KaurThe sandwiches here are amazing- bread is delicious and the combination of ingredients/flavors are great. I also appreciate the vegetarian options- my favorite being the Primavera on semolina. Staff has always been polite and helpful as well. Would recommend!
September 15 · Grace KimAmazing sandwiches and pastries! I got the chocolate croissant and two sandwiches. The Italian steak sandwich was my favorite, but the gotham was delicious! 😋 Claudia behind the counter was extremely helpful in my choices! Can not wait to come back to try the other suggestions! If youre hungry and close by I definitely recommend coming here!
August 02 · Ben PrevotGuy with the glasses should consider a different line of work, not nice at all. Their breakfast sandwiches are very good, but walking into this place they make you feel so un-welcomed. Seems like they do not care if they get business or not.
