★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Oktoberfest all year round! 🍺 The Bierhaus NYC offers a great selection of German beer and hearty food in a lively, authentic atmosphere. The outside seating with a view of Third Avenue makes it an especially nice spot in good weather. Inside, the vibe feels like a piece of Bavaria right in Midtown – long wooden tables, festive décor, and a welcoming staff that adds to the experience. A great place to enjoy a beer, some classic German dishes, and to dive into Germany for a short moment while in New York.
September 13 · Marcus HilkaThis is going to be controversial! The Hofbräu Dunkel Weizen was tasty, but not particularly well poured. The Käsespätzle with bacon was very authentic...BUT I could hardly to find the noodles! A bit less cream and cheese would make this more of a traditional spätzle dish. The caramelized onions and crispy bacon were nicely prepared and I loved the mild cheese and velvety cream sauce. (Consider I was contemplating spätzle with a Jäger sauce and a side of red cabbage.) I loved stopping in and hearing about a fifth of the place speaking German or having a touch of German accent. I would recommend others coming and return for future afternoon happy hours!
August 22 · Shelley BiemansIt's really similar to an halle in the Oktoberfest, with big tables to share with others. The beer is good, bavarian flags a little bit all over. It's a place that deserves another visit from me.The schnitzel was a bit thick, but good, the hot pretzel was yummy!Next time I will try the bratwurst!!!
June 17 · Alessandro G. PucciarelliThis place is amazing, literally a slice of Munich in NYC! Totally reminds me of the beer Hall in Munich. Great food and great German beer. 2nd time here and will definitely be back.I went out of my way to travel here to get a quick taste of Munich Germany! Did not disappoint!
June 14 · Nick LeiboldWe really enjoyed this spacious Bavarian beer hall with the German beer and food to go with it.We loved the cold original Hofbraus, my favorite German beer.Kasekrainer with sauerkraut and potato salad was fantastic, as was the curry wurst and the side of cumber salad. Yummy. Our server was quick and friendly and did a tremendous job. The hostess was friendly and welcoming. In addition to the large tables and benches throughout, there is a small enclosed balcony that offers seating and some smaller tables throughout the restaurant. It can get quite loud, but we enjoyed the 80s playlist and the chatter of people enjoying themselves. There is a flight of stairs to enter that looks more intimidating than it is, so be aware.Restrooms were clean and orderly. We will be back and wouldrecommend.
