★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Had an absolutely amazing omakase experience here! 🍣✨Chef Henry is incredibly skilled and thoughtful — from start to finish, every dish was perfectly balanced and beautifully crafted. The fish was unbelievably fresh, the knife work so precise, and the seasoning and textures were spot on. Each bite felt like a little surprise of flavors. What I really appreciated was how Chef Henry took the time to introduce each course, sharing the story and inspiration behind the dishes. It made the whole experience not only delicious but also meaningful. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it easy to relax and fully enjoy the meal.Highly recommend booking here!!
August 19 · Lee ZiaEvery dish was absolutely delicious! Chef Andy thoughtfully explained the preparation of each piece of sushi, making the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant surprised me with ice cream for my birthday, which was a lovely touch. The ambiance was great, warm and welcoming. Highly recommended!
June 27 · shirley zuoTsumo Omakase was such a great experience! We did the omakase and everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Henry was our sushi chef and he was amazing — super friendly, explained every piece in detail, and made the whole experience even better. The sushi he prepared was absolutely delicious, and you can tell he puts a lot of care into his work. Next time we come, we’ll definitely ask for Chef Henry again. Highly recommend him if you visit!
August 12 · Zhao DanniAt $58 per person for 13 courses, Tsumo is probably the best omakase deal in the entire city, especially for still being good quality sushi. I have this year's list of NYC Omakase restaurants and am slowly checking many off, and the sushi at Tsumo was just as good as most omakase restaurants I've visited in the city. Obviously, they aren't on par with some of the top top places I've been fortunate to experience, but those are a different experience entirely and not places I would want to return to anytime soon because they're so expensive and sometimes difficult to book. If you want omakase, but don't want to burn a hole in your wallet, but still want decent quality, go to Tsumo. It was so good that we added a few extra pieces and left feeling satisfied without breaking bank. Making the reservation online was easy, just make sure you and everyone in your party shows up on time to get seated right away and not be charged a no-show fee. Only suggested I'd make to them is to have a draft beer option, but I understand if the restaurant might not be set up for this to be feasible (canned Japanese beer is not draft beer, even if it says draft on the can), I still want to return regardless. Great experience overall.
September 16 · Cliff JonesI celebrated my birthday here just two days ago with my bf. This was our first omakase experience and I’m happy to say the bar is now very high. Our chef Ken took great care of us and provided high quality service both in food and in conversation. He was very kind and pleasant to talk to. Ken was very knowledgeable and was able to provide insight to everything we ate and answered my boyfriend’s MANY questions haha. I got to try Uni for the first time here and it was delicious— some might even say sushi ice cream, which is true! They even brought out some ice cream to sing me happy birthday which was nice. Thank you for making my day special! 🎉🎂🎈🙂↕️🍱🍣🐠
