★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I'm Chinese and usually very understanding with Cantonese restaurants. Ordered delivery tonight and received the most abhorrent dishes. Wontons were spoiled I immediately spit it out after 1 bite. Roast duck looked like it was dug out of the trash and plated it on my noodles. The pork and preserved egg congee (hard to mess up) was actually a container with plain congee and 2 pieces of preserved egg on top. Even the tofu and bok choy were expired. Never making the mistake of spending money here again
May 24 · CindyJust back from buying 2 packets of rice. One of which consists of the soy chicken and roast pork. Very disappointing as the Roast pork was very tough and inedible, seemed like it was from days ago! And the rice is also hard!Hoping the other fried rice is OK.
April 26 · leslie limI love Big Wong on Mott street in Chinatown. But this was terrible. It was not even obvious that the restaurant was open. They used to have roasted meat hanging by the window. But anytime, I was there over the last month, there was no meat hanging. I thought it was closed down. But then one day I saw someone walk in so I went to do a take-out order. They don't have the usual items that their Mott street location has. I just ordered the Singapore noodles. It was terrible. It tasted odd. It was dry and not much stuff in it except the noodles. It cost $18+ tax which went straight to the trash. Only thing going for it was that it was cleaner than the Mott street location.
July 23 · Jenny RameshYa all tripping! This food is delicious just as good as the one on Mott st. My family has been going to the Mott st location for over 20 years. So glad there is now one closer to home. We got the wonton soup, appetizer pork, house fried rice and Chinese broccoli AMAZING and enough to take home left overs. Don’t forget their amazing scallion ginger sauce to top it off. All food prices are reasonable priced in comparison to the neighborhood. Zero complaints
May 02 · A RSpicy beef chow fun, salt & peppered pork chop, roast pork w/crispy skin, sauteed Chinese broccoli, & roast duck. Yep, it's more expensive than their downtown spot, and I can't deny how disappointing it is that they don't have dumplings and rice noodles on their menu for this new location, but the food is still 5 golden stars nonetheless. Looking for tender and/or crispy, well seasoned, properly cooked, and lip-smackingly delicious treats? Give Big Wong a try. It's soooo much better than any local HK takeout joint could ever offer. (P.S. Highly recommend you enjoy with a bottle of Rabble Zinfandel... Memories of your chaotic workday and commute home will blissfully melt into nothingness.👌)
