★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Tucked at the East/West Shopping Plaza in Bloomfield, this establishment was named after the southernmost province north of Ho Chi Minh City, the owner’s home in Vietnam.Upon entering Binh Duong for lunch after 3 years, I was greeted by the staff and got a table by the window at their expanded and updated interior. It's amazing to see how far they've come.Their menu was extensive, filled with authentic Vietnamese cuisine. As an appetizer, I went for the summer rolls (gỏi cuốn) with tofu, which seem almost like oversized party favors tightly wrapped, served cold, thanks to their translucent rice paper served with the thick peanut sauce. The rice noodles stapled in Asian cuisine added the perfect chewy bite and texture to these rolls. They’ve got every variety of noodle soup imaginable filled to the brim not just with noodles. The pho is one of the most popular dishes on the menu, with a dozen interpretations available with beef, pork, chicken, etc. I went for the Phở Dặc Biệt with eye of round, brisket, tripe, and tendon. One can customize the bowl by adding bean sprouts, basil, lime, hoisin sauce, or hot sauce. The Pho broth was rich in color and was very flavorful. The beef combo Pho was packed with meat and was well worth the price. This was healthy, fresh, and fragrant food, served by a friendly staff in a family-owned BYO, and is the reason why they have a devoted customer following, which I can continue to recommend.
February 17 · Eloy YipService was good. However, the food was just OK for me. The pho was $17, and for that, I was expecting something more memorable. It was on the strange sweet side. The $17 vermicelli on the vermicelli chicken was on the plain soggy side, but ok.Love the disposable chopsticks.Overall, it's an ok place to visit. However, the price may be too steep for many.
March 18 · YZ ZYI decided to take a lunch break here. I was surprised how amazing the fried squid was! It was lightly breaded. But cooked to perfection. The vegetable are cut on bigger side which some people may not like. Summer rolls were good and very refreshing. Decide to go with fresh squeezed orange which was good and not overly sweet! Server that greet me always had a smile! The staff was attentive! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!
March 11 · Daralyn MaravillaIf you want authentic and delicious Vietnamese food, this is the place to go in Northern New Jersey. Excellent pho!
September 19 · Beth EpsteinWe went October 4 '24 the first time, and we loved it. The food, service and atmosphere was amazing! They were really prompt and nice. The dish prices are reasonable also. We look forward to going back! The wings took long but it's worth waiting, they told us that it would take about 15-20 min. we appreciated that they informed us about the wait for the wings. Make sure to give this place a visit.
