What is Worth Choosing
Blackstones Steakhouse is worth choosing for Connecticut residents who demand a truly superb culinary experience and an upscale, trendy atmosphere without having to travel into New York City. The primary reason to visit is the **consistent, high-quality of the food**, especially the dry-aged steaks, which are described by patrons as "superb" and "on track with any top NYC steakhouse." The artistry of the kitchen, highlighted by "Chef Ralph," ensures that the product—from a perfectly cooked fillet to properly prepared vegetables—is of the highest caliber.
Furthermore, the extensive menu provides excellent variety for non-steak lovers, with a spectacular raw bar and specialty entrees like the **Chilian Sea Bass**. As a **Veteran-owned** and **Women-owned** business in a highly accessible downtown location, it offers the prestige of a major-city steakhouse paired with local community values.
However, potential diners should set expectations regarding the service. While many reviews praise the attention and experience, one detailed review points to significant inconsistencies in service delivery that do not align with the high price point of a fine dining establishment. For this reason, diners are strongly advised to make **Dinner reservations recommended** and to be clear with their server about their needs. By focusing on the spectacular quality of the food and enjoying the vibrant **Upscale** setting, Blackstones Steakhouse remains one of the premier and most valuable dining choices in the Stamford, CT area.

Blackstones Steakhouse Reviews

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- I had possibly one of the worst experiences at a steakhouse in recent memory when I decided to go to Blackstones Steakhouse in Stamford. First, the good: the food was superb. On track with any top NYC steakhouse. The fillet was cooked to perfection, the vegetables were properly prepared, and the salad was bright and crunchy. Now the bad: I have never had such terrible service in any restaurant in Stamford (I have tried over 20 local restaurants so far). It started with the drinks. My date and I ordered mixed drinks. Hers comes AFTER the salads come out. Mine doesn’t come until 15 minutes later, after I remind the server that my drink is missing, after the salads have been cleared away. Bread is not left on the table until AFTER the salads come out, then the bus boy tries to take the bread away not 10 minutes later, BEFORE the steaks come out. I had ordered a side sauce with my steak, but when my steak came out, no sauce was present. I waited 5 minutes to make sure it wasn’t coming out separately, then asked my server where my sauce was. Honestly, the service was closer to what I would expect at Waffle House, where my check will be $25 for 2 people, not a steakhouse where the check is easily $200-300 for 2 people. I will not be coming back. For the same price I can eat at a NYC steakhouse where I am treated commensurate with the cost of the meal. September 26 · Daren Moshe
- Amazing. I couldn’t be more please. Chef Ralph is an artist when it comes to food. From flavors to presentation. But on top of it, one of my favorite bartenders is David. He makes well crafted drinks, and has been doing so for 20 + years. If you haven’t been here, yet, you’re missing out. September 09 · The Champagne Room
- My fiance and I came here on Friday night and had a lovely experience with Allen as our server! He was kind, considerate, and went above and beyond to explain things to us and ensure we had a flawless dining experience. We shared the calamari (best I've had! They bread it fresh to order), tomahawk steak for two (served so beautifully), and I had the lychee martini which was delicious. We would definitely come back here again. August 02 · Mariah Carey
- My friends and I went to Blackstones for the first time during restaurant week and we will absolutely be coming back! Alan was our server and he was a 10/10 professional. Top notch hospitality and service and he is the reason we will be back! (Along with the amazing food.) BTW- best dirty martini I’ve ever had, and also a great espresso martini August 23 · Caroline Feeney
- First time at Blackstones!! The food was perfectly cooked, the service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere made the whole experience feel special. Definitely one of Stamford’s gems, I’ll be coming back soon! August 10 · Tay Mulaa
