Bobwhite Counter Reviews
Ive ordered here a lot over the years. Quality of wraps and fries went down. I was the only customer waiting and there were at least 3 workers. It took at least 15 mins to make this wrap and stale/cold fries. This photo is one half of the wrap and it’s mostly quinoa/kale with one small piece of chicken. The other half was similar.
September 17 · Ida1st time ordering. 1st thing I noticed was the owner himself responding to the reviews, which is a good sign. I also noticed they cook their fries in beef tallow. Order took longer than expected, the box was slightly moist, but the food itself was still amazing 👌 ordered both regular and Buffalo tenders, along with the fries and their tea & lemonade. They also seem to be constantly experimenting either the sauces & food, whether it's seasonal or temporary but it's a nice touch/add onIf I'm craving tenders & fries again, I'd definitely pick here as 1st choice.
February 03 · BlackanesePlzService was fast and friendly. The black truffle aioli and ranch dipping sauces were perfect. The chicken was hot and tasted good. The fries were mid, but they gave me lots of them. The drinks are overpriced for the size they give you.
January 28 · Rebecca MixonTo preface - this review is entirely based off of the Caesar wrap. Having frequented both the *now closed* 14th st location and the one onLosaida, regularly this one is doing something wrong. I always order with xtra caeser but the 3 wraps i’ve had from here feel like they dress it while the chicken is piping hot and the dressing tastes “broken” ie. very oily, thin, not emulsified and lacking in flavor. The first time I asked if they made a mistake and forgot it entirely. They said they didn’t but gave me extra on the side for the wrap I was taking to go. This time I didn’t say anything because who wants to get up with 2Halves of a wrap in the middle of eating to show them. The photos are the remnants of my first one and then the cross section of the one I took home. Both with “extra Caesar”
June 08 · Victoria AnatsuiThey took their best items (by far) off of the menu. This has been my absolute favorite fried chicken place in New York for Years. I used to live on 14 and B (by the original) and would eat it all the time. One day the spicy chicken sandwich, the regular chicken sandwich, AND their real fried chicken were all gone. Just like that. Vanished. Sadly, this place became like any other mediocre chicken spot. It’s basically tenders only in all their items. Who does that?! SAD day for Chicken in New York.
