What is worth choosing
Choosing a local restaurant in a densely populated area like Brooklyn involves assessing several factors: the cuisine, convenience, and quality.
Brooklyn's House Of Food and Fishes
undeniably offers an appealing menu of authentic Jamaican cuisine, which, on paper, is worth choosing for New Yorkers craving traditional Caribbean meals likeEscoveich Fish
,Oxtail
, orRasta Pasta Jerk
.The convenience of
Delivery
andTakeout
services and the confirmed friendliness of the staff are significant positive elements that contribute to a potentially positive overall customer interaction. However, it is necessary to present the full factual picture. Public customer reviews available for this establishment describe severe and repeated issues with the food quality. Specifically, feedback indicates that food was
spoiled
, withsour-smelling rice
,rock-solid plantains
,completely dried-out fish
that tastedfreezer burned
,saturated white rice
, andbrown and soggy salad
. One customer unequivocally stated the food wasnot sellable at all nor was it edible
and that it was awaste of $16 period
.Therefore, for New York consumers considering
Brooklyn's House Of Food and Fishes
, the choice rests on the prioritization of factors. The restaurant offers a desirable menu of Jamaican comfort food and excellent customer service. Crucially, however, the available factual evidence from real customer experiences strongly suggests that the actual quality and freshness of the food served has been severely compromised and inedible. Prospective patrons are advised to exercise caution and potentially verify the freshness of their order upon receipt, as the negative public feedback is both detailed and highly critical of the core product.Brooklyn's House Of Food and Fishes Services

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1ordered curry shrimp w rice and peas. HORRIBLE. The rice smells sour and is spoiled, the plantains are rock solid! i tried chewing one up and WOW. had to take it out and throw it out with the rest of the plate! only the shrimp was edible! First and last time going there!
March 01 · JohnathanI've seen this place around and had decided to go there rather than popeyes. The restaurant was huge from the outside. It looks like nothing was really available at the time I went but the lady was extremely nice and asked what I wanted right away I ask for fried fish white rice with oxtail gravy and a salad. It took a while for it to get ready I was assuming that it was either being heated up or done fresh. I was right on the heating up part. I ignored all the signs their card reader was down, they didn't have change, so I ended up burning out all my singles. That would have been all okay if the food was good. Let's fast-forward home. I open up what looked presentable and was completely utterly disappointed. The food was not sellable at all nor was it edible. The fried escovitch was probably fried from days prior completely dried out and even tasted freezer burned from the small edible pieces. The white rice a saturated. The salad was I already Brown and the tomatoes were soggy. The greens tadted worst than krasdale branded greens. It was a waste of $16 period first and last time I'm ever going there. I couldn't even give it to pot starving (yes bajans yes!!!) if I was to purpose the 1 one-star for anything it will be the Stellar customer service, bit stellar customer service isn't enough to make me ever come back. Father forgive me for wasting food, but I wouldn't give that to my worst enemy. Luckily I would suede the next day. I have to review them
November 20 · D HThe crab legs are so large and tasty, the shrimp, labster mouth watering if you get your meal from Pat without a smile your food is free tell her I say so . Such pleasant customers service and the food is just nice you just have to taste it for yourself. Mmmmm good
January 08 · DEVALIN HENDERSONWe visited the restaurant on Saturday morning oct. 29,2016. The lady was very friendly and we ordered an ok meal of akee and saltfish and a plate of scrambled eggs with one homemade ginger beer that we shared, we felt that the lady thought I was a tourist since I was the only white lady there in a predominantly black neighborhood with my Jamaican born husband so she must have felt it was okay to charge us $57 and pocket the money. Not only will we never eat at this spot again but we will be aure to steer everyone we can away from this thief. All future meals out will be at J and S restaurant at 352 Utica avenue, the food was terrific and a normal price of $12 for a large serving of oxtail and rice and peas, in fact so good that we went back for more. STAY AWAY- STAY Away --STAY AWAY From PATS FLAVORS THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY FOR THEIR OWN POCKET !!!!!
