Café at Saks Introduce
Tucked away on the second floor of the iconic Saks Fifth Avenue flagship store, Café at Saks is a delightful surprise for New Yorkers and visitors navigating the bustling Midtown streets. More than just a simple coffee stand, this cafe offers a chic and convenient spot to refuel and recharge. Its location within a renowned luxury department store gives it a unique charm, providing a peaceful escape from the constant energy of Fifth Avenue. While it may be petite in size, as one reviewer noted, its offerings are crafted with a level of quality and care that makes it a worthy destination in its own right.
The menu at Café at Saks is curated for light and enjoyable refreshments, perfect for a mid-shopping break or a casual meeting. One customer shared their experience of indulging in a "Roasted Pumpkin Salad, a tall mocha and a cacao muffin," highlighting the cafe's ability to offer both savory and sweet options. The same reviewer praised the items as "undeniably delicious," a testament to the quality of the food and drinks. The cafe offers a variety of coffees and espresso drinks, which, according to a reviewer, are "delicious," and their pricing is "pretty much the same everywhere" in New York, which is a reassuring point for those concerned about high prices in a high-end location. While some items, like the baklava at $4 a piece, might be considered expensive, the overall quality and ambiance often justify the cost for many patrons. The cafe’s menu is designed to be a complement to a visit to Saks, offering simple yet elegant choices that satisfy a craving without overwhelming the palate.
A key aspect of the experience at Café at Saks, as a reviewer pointed out, is its small size. The limited seating, which can be an issue during peak hours, is mitigated by a polite suggestion of a "25 min. limit of table occupancy as a courtesy." This is a common practice in many popular, space-constrained New York eateries and is a testament to the cafe's popularity. The cozy and intimate nature of the space, however, adds to its charm. For a quick coffee and pastry, it's an ideal setting. The ambiance is stylish, reflecting its location within one of the city's most famous department stores. The cafe is a convenient and classy spot for a light bite, a perfect place to people-watch or simply take a moment to yourself before heading back out into the urban whirlwind.

Café at Saks Reviews
I indulged in a few light refreshments at Café at Saks. The Roasted Pumpkin Salad, a tall mocha and a cacao muffin was undeniably delicious. Café at Saks is a small café, located on the 2nd fl..Saks should expand the size of the café in order to accommodate more patrons. Due to the petite size of the café they do suggest a 25 min. limit of table occupancy as a courtesy during peak hours of operation.Upon my next visit I will complement my tall mocha with a croissant au chocolat!
September 07 · KevinTheir coffees are delicious, but the baklava is $4 per piece, which is quite expensive. Other than that, the ambiance, food, and sandwiches look great. Coffee prices are pretty much the same everywhere.
March 30 · Selin OzgulerYou are in the most luxurious department store in NYC but cutlery is plastic, your expresso is served in a paper cup and for your bottle of water you get no glass (if you did it would be plastic).
May 11 · The Parisian (Citizen of the world)I love this little gem hidden away on 2 at Saks. The food is great, the cold brew is rich and bold and the girls behind the counter are super nice and friendly. Be patient during rush hour and lunch because the place gets packed . Hopefully they expand a little.Best little spot to grab lunch and/or coffee off 5th Avenue in the iconic flagship store, Saks.
