★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1i found this gem on my way to work one morning and haven't stopped going since. i've tried a little bit of everything and have yet to be disappointed. my go to is the passion fruit juice and codfish patties, just hits the sweet spot. on the walk in you receive a warm welcome with amazing service, immediately after that the atmosphere is very clean, cozy and perfect for a breath of fresh air. i highly recommend anyone to stop by the next chance they get!
March 31 · Chery BThe banana pudding was refreshing and delicious. Not too sweet and not too heavy. You can taste the fresh bananas and the vanilla in the pudding. And the customer service was excellent. She was very friendly and helpful. My favorite thing on the menu is the iced biscoff latte. Made to perfection every time!
April 05 · Lauren MoquetteI never leave reviews, so TRUST MINE !I randomly found this hidden gem in Brooklyn and had one of the most unexpectedly healing, heartwarming experiences. Not only is the food and drinks incredible, but their hot honey chips?? Actually insane. So delicious. The owners are some of the kindest, most beautiful souls I’ve ever met. They stayed open an extra hour just to keep talking with us—and even the other customers were amazing. It felt so safe, welcoming, and real. There’s a cozy little space in the back perfect for events, and the whole place just has this calming, magical energy. I walked in for a cappuccino and left feeling so refreshed and happy—it was exactly what I didn’t know I needed. If you’re looking for a place with incredible people, unmatched vibes, real conversation, and community—this is it. The Healing Cafe, if you ask me ;)
May 15 · Natalie HershowitzMy friend and I were looking for good coffee and a quick bite on a rainy day in Brooklyn. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the two owners Lisa and Daphne who gave us their undivided attention when we toldthem it was our first time there. I got the cookie butter latte which was 10/10, and their burrata sandwich was made fresh and tasted great. I cannot stress how amazing the atmosphere in this place is and how the kindness and passion of the owners of this small business radiates into everything they do. Great coffee and food, even better conversation and experience. Will definitely be back!!
May 15 · Michal RahabiCafé Lakay has easily become my favorite neighborhood spot for quick bites, herbals teas, lattes and good company & conversation with my neighbors. Daphne, the owner, is lovely and shows you hospitality…the Brooklyn way. Arrive early for the codfish patties! The avocado toast with hot honey is one of my faves.
