## A Taste of Nostalgia in Brooklyn: Introduction to Carvel Express
For many New Yorkers, the name Carvel is synonymous with classic, creamy soft-serve ice cream and iconic celebration cakes. The **Carvel Express** location at **569 Myrtle Ave in Brooklyn, NY**, brings this beloved brand right into the heart of the community. This spot operates as a convenient "Express" ice cream shop, specializing in the brand’s signature frozen treats, ice cream cakes, and novelties.
As a dedicated **ice cream shop**, Carvel Express focuses on quick service and accessibility, making it the perfect destination for a spontaneous treat or a pre-ordered cake pickup. The atmosphere is definitively **casual**, prioritizing a straightforward and fast experience for customers—perfect for a **Quick visit**. Whether you're craving a simple cone of soft serve, one of their classic sundaes, or a famous ice cream cake for a party, this Myrtle Avenue location serves up the nostalgic flavors that have been a New York favorite for decades. The location is also noted as being **Good for kids**, making it a fantastic stop for families in the Clinton Hill/Fort Greene area.
It is important for local users to note the "Express" nature of this location. These types of shops are often smaller, focused on quick turnover and carry-out items, which may influence the service style. While the core products—the signature soft serve and ice cream cakes—are consistent with the Carvel brand quality, the customer experience can vary based on the store's setup and current staffing, a common variable in high-volume, quick-service environments in the city. Customers should be prepared for an experience centered on convenience and the product itself.

Carvel Express Reviews
11/27 @ 8:58p - I literally just left this place. It’s a tiny Carvel shop inside of a gas station. So you’ll get about as good of customer service as you’d think. An employee was standing there washing dishes for a good minute or two prior to acknowledging me. Just to then tell me “I’m closed”. I asked is the Carvel closed to clarify. She then replied “I only have vanilla” while walking away. Thanks lady, I’ll never step foot in this place ever again.
November 28 · Jazmine ChungTerrible customer service. I called to make sure they had what I wanted and the person who answered the phone was very rude. He said "I'm busy with a customer and hung up." I showed up there and sure enough the did have the cake I wanted but no one was able to write on it. I was passed because if the person on the phone was courteous, I would not have to waste gas for no reason.
August 08 · Cecilia WarrenThis is a gas station location. They do not serve ice cream during the winter, except for packaged goods. It went there in winter and was sorely disappointed.
January 19 · Braden NielsonThere no one to help you if you come in late. The gas attendant has to come from behind his counter to serve you at the carvel counter. Attitude is good.
September 18 · Jeffrey NDon't even serve icecream and called me racial slurs
August 23 · Noel Aviles
