CC'S Jamaican Restaurant Introduce
CC'S Jamaican Restaurant stands as a beloved culinary fixture on Flatbush Avenue, deeply rooted in the heart of Brooklyn, New York. It is a premier destination for New Yorkers craving authentic, flavorful, and generously portioned Jamaican comfort food. This establishment is more than just a place to eat; it's a vibrant neighborhood hub that serves as a testament to rich culinary tradition. From the moment you approach the door, the wonderful aroma of seasoned meats and spices—even late at night—is often enough to draw in passersby, a common testament to the quality and depth of the cooking here.
As a proudly Black-owned business, CC'S contributes significantly to the cultural and economic fabric of the Flatbush community. The atmosphere is notably casual, friendly, and welcoming, creating a distinct vibe of a warm family restaurant where both locals and tourists feel at home. It is lauded as a safe and friendly space, identifying as both family-friendly and LGBTQ+ friendly, including a transgender safespace, ensuring that all New Yorkers and visitors are treated with respect and hospitality.
The menu at CC'S is comprehensive, covering every meal of the day from breakfast through late-night dining. They are popular for everything from a hearty start with Ackee & Saltfish Breakfast to classic, slow-cooked dinners like Oxtail and Curry Goat. Customers frequently rave about the flagship dishes, noting that the jerk chicken was fabulous—moist, tender, and seasoned with a flavorful, spicy-but-not-overpowering jerk sauce. The staff is consistently described as very friendly, welcoming, and helpful, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for solo diners, families, and larger groups alike.
However, as with any bustling New York City eatery, quality control is paramount. While most reviews celebrate the wonderful food and clean environment, one documented instance mentions a serious concern regarding sanitation—specifically, finding multiple pieces of hair in the food, and a forgotten side order. The business's commitment to maintaining its 'very clean and well kept' reputation, as noted by other patrons, is crucial to ensuring a consistently high-quality experience for all customers moving forward.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I was walking by here the other night and the aroma coming out the door was so good I had to stop in. There were already closed. They were cleaning up. And still the restaurant just smelled so wonderful, I just had to come in the next day.Oh my goodness, I'm so glad I did. The jerk chicken was fabulous! Chicken was moist and tender, oxtail gravy very flavorful, and the jerk sauce was nice and spicy without being overpowering. I had some of their ginger fruit punch as well, and the ginger just made the flavor pop -- and it does a great job of easing back the heat from the jerk chicken as well.As others have said, the restaurant itself it very clean and well kept, and the staff are very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. There's just a vibe here of a warm family restaurant and you can see the other customers pick up on it as well.I know there are a lot of Jamaican restaurants in the neighborhood and I'm new here ... so I should try some others ... but it will be hard going anywhere else.
September 20 · Robert BoyleI used to like CC’s bc of its pricing and decent portions but after today, I won’t be visiting again! Not only did they forget my plantain that I paid for, there was hair in my food.. not one, not two, but three pieces of hair!! This is unsanitary and disappointing to say the least.
September 17 · D'Avian KVisited this place because my hotel was nearby. Food is SO good, some of the best jerk chicken I’ve ever had. We sat ourselves, ordering was easy, environment was clean, and the flow of customers was constant. Despite them being busy our food came out quick and perfect. The medium size is the best size for one person to be full. Small size is probably best for like a light lunch or older kid. Staff was sweet, other patrons were also sweet. I’ll absolutely be going back!
September 01 · J GOk. I expected better but1. Service is slow because of slow customers and they’re not staffed the way they should be.2. I received by macaroni salad bunched in foil. I told them i want it on the side and that’s how they did me3. I ordered bbq chicken and they served it as wings instead of actual pieces of chickenFood was good especially the macaroni salad but i won’t likely return
May 18 · Tohn SmithStopped by here this morning. Really bright and clean place. Food looks good but I only stopped in to grab a beef patty. It had a lot of meat, the right amount of spice and the crust was on point. I’d give the patty about a 7.5/10. It’s good to have in the area, but I wouldn’t drive across town just to have it. The staff members were blah, not rude but they weren’t very welcoming either. I really wanted to try their oxtail, but it was still early and it wasn’t ready yet. Id highly recommend the “This is it” all natural juice. I had the strawberry lemon lime flavor, one of the best I’ve had. I’d give it a 9.5/10
