What is worth choosing
For a New Jersey diner’s first or next visit to Cedars Lebanese Cuisine, the worthiest choices are the items that exemplify the restaurant’s strengths: its mixed grill, signature dips, and the full weekend experience.
First, for a main course, the Cedars Mixed Gril is a must-try. As a sampler of the best charcoal-grilled meats, it typically includes flavorful chicken kabob (Shish Tawook) and Kufta. While customer reviews suggest the Chicken kabob is particularly excellent, the plate provides the best overall representation of the entrée quality.
Second, when exploring the menu, start with the extensive cold appetizer selection. While the Hummus and Labneh are staples, for a fuller experience, opt for the Cedars Combo, which allows you to sample the best dips like Hummus, Baba Ghanouj, Labneh, and Muhammara. To dive deeper into authentic Lebanese cuisine, the raw meat preparations like Kibbeh Neyeh are a specialty that distinguishes the restaurant.
Finally, it is absolutely worth choosing to visit on a weekend night (Friday or Saturday). This allows New Jersey patrons to fully experience the atmosphere, which includes the lively Live music and Belly dancing performances. Coupling the high-quality food with the Hookah bar experience and the fact that the venue is BYOB makes a weekend evening at Cedars a unique and highly engaging cultural and social outing in Wallington.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Love this place!!! I come here all the time when I want good food, food entertainment and they are BYOB!! There is belly dancing and a DJ on Friday nights so it’s guaranteed to be always a good time. I love the food too everything js always consistent and fresh. If you love hookah this is your spot! The service is also amazing!
August 01 · Lauren SMy experience at Cedars was decent overall, but not remarkable. For appetizers, I tried the Labneh and Hummus. The Labneh was a bit too sour for my taste, while the Hummus lacked the smooth texture I was hoping for, though the meat topping on it was quite flavorful and helped elevate the dish and the bread was cold. For the main course, I ordered the Cedars Mixed Grill. The chicken kabob stood out as really flavorful and the fries were perfect, the kufta was just okay, and the filet mignon unfortunately had little to no flavor.
August 19 · muhammad talha awaisThe food here is absolutely outstanding! Every dish is full of flavor, fresh, and prepared with so much care—it truly feels like homemade Lebanese cooking. The quality is consistent, portions are generous, and you can taste the authenticity in every bite. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff make you feel like family. If you’re looking for truly excellent Lebanese food in New Jersey, this is the place. Highly recommend!
September 07 · lalune711I was really disappointed with my recent experience at this restaurant. It feels overpriced for what you receive, and the service did not meet expectations. The food was quite lacking. The tabouleh was essentially just parsley with no flavor. The meat was overcooked and dry, making it unenjoyable to eat. The bread was stale like they reused it.The batata Harah was overwhelmingly spicy, reminiscent of super hot buffalo wings, which is definitely not how it should taste. The Muhamra was terrible; I don't know if they’ve changed chefs, but it’s nothing like what we used to enjoy. We used to visit this place much more often, but clearly something has gone wrong. Overall, it’s just not worth it anymore. It’s a shame because the musicians and the belly dancer were great.
August 25 · Pauline SA lot of miss information, I was informed over the phone that 9:30 pm is when the belly dancer and dj starts but it didn’t start until 11pm and on top of that they charged $25 per person for a party charge which they never informed about over the phone. Food was fine, service was also good but a lot of hidden charges and was hit with a huge bill. I wish they were honest about everything because the over all restaurant vibe is good. Be aware of all the hidden charges that they don’t like to mention over the phone and the long wait.
