It has cemented its reputation as a reliable source for high-quality, authentic Chinese dishes, perfect for satisfying those weeknight cravings or feeding the whole family. If you're looking for flavorful meals and a menu that guarantees something for everyone, Cheun Hing Kitchen is a name you need to know in the NYC landscape.
The atmosphere is described as casual, fitting perfectly with the local vibe and making it an ideal choice for a stress-free meal experience. While reviews suggest an emphasis on takeout and delivery, the friendly environment contributes to its status as a local staple for quick, tasty food.
Operating hours are consistent, making it easy for local users to plan their meals. Cheun Hing Kitchen is open seven days a week, Monday through Sunday, from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM. This wide window of operation ensures that whether you’re looking for a midday bite or a late dinner, this South Richmond Hill spot is ready to serve. They also feature a dedicated lunch menu from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, offering great value for those seeking a substantial and affordable lunchtime meal.
One of the true tests of a great local Chinese spot is the breadth of its menu, and Cheun Hing Kitchen passes with flying colors. The selection is incredibly deep, featuring over a dozen major categories of dishes. From spicy House Special items to classic beef, poultry, and vegetable preparations, the choices are nearly endless. They feature a generous range of specialty items that cater to a broader audience, complementing their traditional Cantonese and Szechuan-style offerings.
The menu is designed for both individual and family dining. For those with a heartier appetite or catering to a group, the Combination Platters are an excellent option, often including a main dish, fried rice, and an egg roll. This approach to menu organization makes ordering easy and ensures a complete, satisfying meal with just one choice.
A peek at the Specialties section highlights their popular fried items, including Buffalo Chicken Wings, Fried Half Chicken, Fried Spare Rib Tips, and Fried Fish Whiting. This selection of hearty, fried favorites shows a delightful fusion catering to the diverse tastes of the New York community, distinguishing it from a purely traditional establishment.
The House Special section is where you’ll find some of the restaurant's most ambitious and flavor-packed dishes. Options like the Four Seasons, which features a mix of shrimp, chicken, pork, beef, and Chinese vegetables, or the Happy Family, adding scallop to the mix, are perfect for an elevated dining experience. Iconic dishes such as General Tso's Chicken, Sesame Chicken, and Szechuan Flavor Beef are also highlighted, appealing to those who love the spicy and sweet American-Chinese staples.
For noodle lovers, the menu includes an extensive list of Lo Mein (soft noodles) and Chow Fun (flat rice noodles), which can be customized with various proteins like roast pork, chicken, beef, or shrimp. The inclusion of Singapore Chow Mei Fun, a fan-favorite spicy curry vermicelli noodle dish, adds another exciting dimension to the menu.
In summary, Cheun Hing Kitchen’s menu is a comprehensive guide to delicious and comforting Chinese food. It’s a testament to its commitment to variety and quality, ensuring that every customer, from the dedicated purist to the adventurous eater, finds a dish to love.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Delivery driver is rude and impatient. He deducts his own tip out from the money I give him before returning my change and mumbles under his breath. very unprofessional.UPDATE: the delivery person has absolutely no manners or professionalism, I live very close to the restaurant and demands I give him additional tips and then proceeds to argue and curse. Never met such a nasty and rude individual working for such an establishment. get a better delivery person. after reading these reviews, it is clear this is a common occurrence.
August 03 · Lucy S.Delivery driver extremely rude! Asked for more money on top of tips. I gave him money and he asked for more even though I live close. Do not deliver here, or he will take advantage of you!!
February 25 · Crystal IshigamiFood is good, but found multiple hairs in food. This happened multiple times. The first time it was okay because mistake happens, but when I ordered today I found two hairs in my food. I have curly hair and the hair is straight, so I know it is not mine. When I go to the restaurant I see no one with proper nets so it figures. However, the food is good when done properly. Sometimes they don’t cook the rice enough and the chicken is tough but sometimes. As a person who’s been resorted to eating there as a quick meal I can say, the food is good the quality is terrible. Their chili oil is amazing though, but I have very little experience with chilli oil. Delivery man is rude.
July 25 · bakugos wifeThe food was good and they have a good portion of food. I would definitely go back here again and try something else.
July 22 · Prince Randydo not come here, we ordered the fried rice and chicken and we all got food poisoning
