CIBO Express Gourmet Market Introduce
The **CIBO Express Gourmet Market** at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Terminal 5 is an essential stop for travelers looking for speed, convenience, and a curated selection of provisions before or after a flight. More accurately described as a hybrid **food court** and premium **convenience store**, CIBO Express is designed by OTG Management to elevate the typical airport shopping and dining experience. It caters specifically to the modern traveler's need for efficiency, offering a large assortment of high-quality, pre-packaged, and ready-to-board products. For New Yorkers flying out of the JetBlue-heavy Terminal 5, this market represents a quick, familiar, and highly accessible option.
The core philosophy of CIBO Express is to provide "real food, freshly made, always fast," bringing local and artisanal brands into the airport environment. This commitment is evident in the broad selection that ranges from healthy, wellness-focused items to more indulgent treats. They take a hyper-seasonal approach to their ready-made food items, often highlighting ingredients and culinary trends specific to the season and the New York region, occasionally featuring products from beloved local vendors like Balthazar Bakery.
While the concept is designed for efficiency and quality, it is important for local users to note the reality of airport operations. The price point, as with all airport concessions, is generally higher than off-site locations. Furthermore, while the focus is on quality 'grab-and-go' items, customer reviews highlight the need for travelers to be selective, particularly with hot or pre-prepared, ready-to-eat meals like certain wraps or burgers, which can sometimes suffer from the 'grab-and-go' process. The key strength remains the vast selection of packaged snacks, beverages, and essentials, making it an indispensable location for last-minute purchases. It serves a crucial function by providing **Takeout** and **Dine-in** options (utilizing the adjacent terminal seating) and is particularly **Popular for Solo dining** and a safe, casual spot for families, as it is noted to be **Good for kids**.
With over 1,000 different products and beverages, including a strong focus on conscious consumption options, CIBO Express Gourmet Market successfully blends the utility of a traditional convenience store with the quality expectation of a gourmet food provider. It simplifies the travel experience, allowing guests to quickly secure what they need and proceed to their gate without the lengthy wait of a full-service restaurant.
The CIBO Express Gourmet Market is located in a high-traffic, highly visible area within New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport. The address is specified as **& S Cargo, Terminal 5, Airport, JFK Expy Rd, Jamaica, NY 11430, USA**.
This location is strategically positioned within **Terminal 5**, which is primarily served by JetBlue Airways. While CIBO Express has multiple small outlets throughout Terminal 5 (Central Concourse, East Concourse near Gate 9, Food Court, and both Pre-Security Arrivals and Departures areas), the main markets are designed to be easily accessible to passengers immediately post-security and in the main concourse areas. Its proximity to gate areas makes it the ideal spot for grabbing provisions just moments before boarding.
Accessibility is a key operational priority. The market features a **Wheelchair accessible entrance**, ensuring that all travelers, regardless of mobility challenges, can easily enter the retail and food space. Given the airport environment, the design is typically open and easy to navigate with luggage, prioritizing a fast and unhindered shopping experience. The overall structure is focused on accommodating the needs of a mobile, diverse, and often time-constrained customer base.

CIBO Express Gourmet Market Reviews

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Nope. Like others, I neglected to look at the reviews first. Service was LOUSY! Burger was crunchy on the outside. Completely overcooked and dry. The fries were also overcooked and cold. There was no sense of urgency of the staff. Nobody looked happy to be there.
June 08 · Leslie NebekerI purchased a turkey wrap sandwich from the grab and go section to have on a flight. The sandwich was the worst tasting sandwich I ever had in my entire life. The turkey wrap was hard, dry, tasted like plastic, and was too expensive. I wouldn't mind the price if it even tasted average. Never again!
March 10 · Michael SpencerI should have read the reviews before purchasing the food. We purchased food for 8 persons and no one was satisfied with their meal. I purchased the chicken salad with the quinoa and it was stale. It smelled so bad by the time I got on the plane I couldn't even open the container. I just had to ask the flight attendant to discard the $20 meal. Their yellow rice tasted like curried rice and the chicken was tastelessOverall we spent over $180 between us and were dissapointed.
May 27 · Nat-Awurd AmlevI bought a Cobb Salad which was actually very fresh, very tasty but as I got to the bottom I bit into a hard, black piece of plastic the same size as the carrots. I immediately returned the salad - with my receipt- and there was some ( too much) discussion & consternation as to the fact that "yes" most of the greens were eaten but that's when I bit into the plastic. The manager when he arrived, promptly and kindly made the return but the cashier was still in question mode. I would have given 5 stars except 1)the plastic and 2) the response of the cashier.
July 19 · Theresa Weston MorrisWhere I go for a last minute pre-boarding snack. Not as crowded as other places, it’s really just a hole in the wall to stores to the right of king Starbucks. Muffins are good, and, of course, over priced. Can’t complain about eggs because you have to be crazy to buy eggs here. Service is pleasant.
