Claud Introduce
## Introduction / Overview
In a city as dynamic and diverse as New York, some restaurants manage to create a buzz that transcends the typical dining experience. Claud, a bistro located in the East Village, is a perfect example of this. More than just a place to eat, Claud is a culinary destination brought to life by co-owners Joshua Pinsky, a former corporate chef at Momofuku, and Chase Sinzer, who previously served as the Wine Director at Momofuku Ko. Their combined expertise has created a sophisticated yet approachable French-inspired bistro that has quickly earned a reputation for its "excellently balanced and cooked" dishes and an outstanding wine program that has garnered awards, including a Michelin Guide Sommelier Award for Chase Sinzer.
Claud is a restaurant that feels both intimate and grand, with a cozy and romantic atmosphere that is perfect for a special occasion or a memorable date night. The interior is described as "gorgeous," with a design that blends classic elegance with modern simplicity, feeling like an "expensive apartment in the East Village." This upscale yet casual vibe makes it a favorite among those who appreciate fine dining without the pretense. The menu is a testament to the chef's creativity, offering a range of comfort food with a unique and elevated take. From small plates like the must-try "chicken liver agnolotti" to more substantial mains and a dessert selection lauded for its greatness, every dish is crafted to leave an impression. Claud is a prime example of a restaurant where the passion of its creators shines through in every detail, from the food to the service, making it a truly exceptional choice for a night out in the city.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1So impressed with how they do flavours here. Everything was excellently balanced and cooked. Everything had a unique take on comforting dishes and flavours. The root beer ice cream special for dessert was exceptional. Staff were also helpful and friendly. The restaurant is has a gorgeous interior too.
September 13 · D SThis French wine bar is a great option for a date night or dinner with friends. I went in a group of 4 and so we were able to try a variety of dishes, which I loved. The interior of the restaurant is intimate, romantic, and nice but casual (if that makes sense). Service is stellar. We got two bottles of wine—both of which were amazing. I would definitely recommend trying out their wines! For appetizers, we ordered the foie gras, the shishito peppers with duck sausage, tomato mille-fueille, shrimp, and chicken liver agnolotti. Everything was delicious. While they are most known for their chicken liver agnolotti and shrimp (which I do agree at must-trys), the other appetizers we had did not fall short and everyone in our group had their own favorites. For mains, we got the pork chop, wagyu buvette, and chicken. The pork chop and chicken were the favorites of the night and I would say that you could skip the wagyu buvette (it just didn't stand out in my opinion and was a bit too salty). Wish we had room for dessert, but everything was phenomenal. (Maybe next time!)
August 26 · Mia HuynhSolid 4 star experience. We’ve had a few dishes to share. All were right on point. Delicious but not overly priced. I felt if there were better presentation, it would’ve been better but man foods were gooooood!Small space but it doesn’t get loud, you can have conversation here!
July 06 · Tony InJe YeoQuite a few great dishes but the fish stood out the most. It was tender, juicy, and excellently seasoned. The Mille feuille was too buttery for our taste and the chicken pate (?) agnolotti were a little too heavy & salty - but great for sharing if you have more people.Cabbage steak was one of the best I’ve had.Chocolate cake was a little disappointing in my opinion since it’s been dubbed as the best chocolate cake in New York City (I don’t think so), but it is a gigantic piece ($22).
May 07 · Susie SuHigh end European restaurant with a relaxed setting. I thought the dishes were good but did not quite justify the prices. The chicken liver agnolotti was soft, chewy with an extremely rich flavor (best if shared). And the pork chop was tender with a dark sauce tang gave it a slightly sweet taste
