The choice of what to order largely depends on the time of day and your personal craving for that authentic island flavor. For a true start to your day, the Jamaican Breakfast Menu is a popular choice, featuring classic 'boil down' dishes like Ackee & Codfish or Steamed Calaloo & Saltfish, often paired with Fried Dumplins or Fried Plantains.
When it comes to lunch and dinner, the slow-cooked and richly flavored meats are the main event. Poultry fans will find satisfaction in the Jerk Chicken, Curry Chicken, or Brown Stew Chicken, all prepared to deliver that distinctive Caribbean taste. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Food is great! Been getting lunch /dinner there for decades now. The food is the same as the good old days, but the people who work there , they do not stay working, and leave after few months. the women servers are not the friendliest, unless they know you and you are Jamaican. If you are not, and you’re a female, the amount of food you paid depends on who served you the food. One day they packed it tight and overflowing oxtails and stewed peas. Sometimes you get half of the usual amount. Like i said i only come for the food not the ambiance and definitely not the servers. Selectively , there are friendly staff, usually the guys are nicer to the costumers. Today, i got half of what i usually paid for.
September 26 · G FernandezMy husband loves getting breakfast here when he is going to work. The food taste delicious and the staff is very polite. They offer jamaican cuisine. You can get curry chicken back, jerk chicken, fish, goat, oxtail, rice and peas, white rice, boiled food/ ground provision, steamed and fresh veggies, baked goods, festival, fritters, soup and porridge. This morning I got steamed calaloo & saltfish with fried dumplings and plantains. Hubby got white rice and curry chicken back. The restaurant can get a little crowdy and you may have to wait a few minutes to be served, but it's worth the wait. Also there is no parking lot available but you can find parking on the street easily. They also sell freshly squeeze juice. Overall I highly recommend them for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
August 15 · Taneisha TomlinsonThe usual food I get here is curry goat. It’s tasty with mild spice in it and the server gave me a big big big no joke big portion of food. For $10.40 small square container she filled the container up to the top. No wonder she put the cabbages in a separate foil bag. I appreciate that. My only concern was the sweet potato pie I got has white mold. I love sweet potatoes so I scooped out the mold and still ate the pie lol 🤷🏻♀️ . I feel like the pie is a rip off for $3.40. This size is usually $1.99. Anyways will come back to try other dishes. I was asking if I can have half and half meat cause I wanted to try the beans with feet of chicken. She said they don’t do that. If she’s gonna give me a big portion of the curry goat which I cannot really finish why not just give me little bit of two dish. It’s like paying for two meals in one. Would love to try the other ones. Other places you can have two dishes of meat and rice and veggies with plantain.
August 10 · Sheba GeminiOne of the best breakfast meals I have had in a whileThe portion is definitely worth your money. Staff might not be friendly but that usually means the food is AMAZING 🤩 🇯🇲
September 29 · Kenisha MalcolmRecently visited this place again I always bring friends and family food from here when i go out of town. Well never again. Service with Attitude seems to be what they serve best. Not to go into too much detail about the last visit but i almost ended up in the Emergency Room. There was steelwool in my food. I was told this could happen sometimes. This should never happen. So I was asked to longer patronize this establishment and believe you me I will gladly keep my money and everyone I know that goes there money in our pocket. Hopefully no one gets hurt by careless and bad food handling from them. The server with the Purple Hair was very nice and sympathetic I'm happy I left her a tip.
