★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Cubita Café is an absolute gem in Nutley! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth, great vibes, and the aroma of something amazing cooking in the back. Their award-winning empanadas live up to the hype—my personal favorite is the Oxtail Mac (seriously, it’s life-changing, make your inner child smile 😊). Rich, flavorful, and perfectly crispy on the outside. The Ropa Vieja is another standout—tender, savory, and packed with authentic Cuban flavor. You can tell everything is made with love and real attention to detail. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a full meal, Cubita Café delivers every time. Can’t recommend it enough!
May 06 · Mia JosephinaCool little cafe staff was friendly and the food was good. I got a small coffee which was strong but not too bitter. The empanadas were good too. Got one with guava and cheese, the Cuban sandwich and the chimmichuri chicken. The only thing that was missing was the pickles. Empanadas were thick. The side sauces were great. One was filled with garlic which was amazing. Will definitely come back to try more of their menu.
November 21 · Stanley MoyBeen wanting to go to this spot for a min. Finally went today. The place was cool. Really liked the biggie on the wall. Music was dope. We loved the Pan con Bistec it was perfect and wasn’t heavy. I also had a couple of empanadas and a papa rellena. Loved it and will go back. Now I wanna open a Cuban spot.
April 26 · NYCSEHoly crap this place is amazing. The owner goes above and beyond. Even the way he treats his new/learning employees is admirable. The hip hop, Latin hybrid vibe with the design and music is great ambiance. The food is by far the best in the area. So good, I came back on the same day for lunch and then an early dinner because I had to bring the wife. Thank you for the great hospitality and food!
August 28 · Ken MWas there 2 weeks ago they were closed on vacation. Stopped by today and they were open. The place was pretty busy given school started. First thing I noticed was the different varieties on the menu. Some that I had never heard of. I kept it simple went with the steak sandwich. Can’t complain was good. I should’ve gone with one of there different varieties. The owner was extremely welcoming and very attentive. He suggested the maduro and cheese with a there hot sauce. That was to die for. Overall will be coming back soon and this time around will be risky and go with their personalized menu option.
