★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I ordered chicken curry with roti. Fried Chana and dhal. The flavor was amazing. The roti was clapped well so it was fluffy and tasteful. The curry had enough masala and curry. Perfect blend and spice. Anyone that makes chicken curry and puts potatoes in it is a winner for me. The only thing I wish were different was the choice of chicken (I got two drumsticks) and I’m not too fond of them as they don’t cook Thorough enough for me, but that’s a personal thing. The dhal was also perfect. I wished I ordered rice… either way it was consistent and you can tell they burnt the garlic enough. Delicious and 100% authenticNext day we order goat curry and Dhal puri (the goat was spicer than the chicken curry but still delicious ). That’s how much we enjoyed the food. It was spectacular 100% Guyanese flavor
March 08 · JoseliaHey truck driver here.. Food was delicious some good old Guyanese cooking I’ve been missing can’t find it in TX or SC. Staff is friendly, restaurant is clean and the food is fresh. Keep up the good work❤️❤️
April 05 · Sophia YungI spoke with the owner and let him know that I was new to the area from Brooklyn and haven't had good Caribbean food since. He said he understood as he was also living in NYC. I placed an order for $50 worth of souse and cheese paste sandwiches, indicating the ones that were made when we were younger with the food coloring. He said that he knew what I was talking about and said he would text me with the price of everything. He told me the total was $95 and to pick up at 12pm. I texted him some minutes before 12pm and told him to text me when it's ready. He responded an hour later and said that it was ready. I was very happy to receive my food but that excitement quickly turned into extreme disappointment when I got in the car and took a bite of one of the sandwiches. It was made with American cheese. I asked via text and he confirmed that it was made with American cheese. I told him that's not what I asked for and he replied that I should've been specific. I went on to him that what the whole conversation was about the day before, authentic Caribbean food. I told him I was coming back but the door was already locked. When I got home the pan of souse was filled with liquid and about 15 pieces of chicken foot. This is not $50 worth. I tried asking him for a partial refund since he spent time making it but he has blocked me. I am very upset and the food is inedible. Worst food ever. I would not recommend and I will not return. Please stay away from this business.
December 31 · Josephine PetersAs a Guyanese customer I must say I’m extremely disappointed in the food I got. I recently moved into the neighborhood and was very excited to find a Guyanese restaurant close to where I live. I ordered a fried rice and baked chicken. It’s the worst fried rice and chicken I’ve tasted in a few years if not the worst. The fried rice had very minimum vegetables, the rice was soft and sappy. It was tasteless. The baked chicken tasted like the chicken was stale. The meat was hard and the bbq sauce was thick and dry. After just about 3 spoons of food, I had to throw the food away. It was my first time there and it might be my last time. I also bought egg ball and my husband bought the curry. We haven’t taste it as yet, but if these too are terrible I will not be retuning. The fried rice is 100 percent disappointing, don’t buy it.
March 05 · olanda gibbsJust opened my pick up order and the items are incorrect. Nothing was authentic or what I wanted. I reached out to the owner and advised him that I'm coming back and was told they are closed. I asked why I received the incorrect items and the owner told me I should have specified that I wanted West Indian food and not American food. I assumed if I'm ordering from a Guyanese establishment that I would receive Guyanese food. The owner was not helpful in trying to rectify the situation and refuses to come to a resolution. The lack of West Indian restaurants in the area is a huge issue and these so called "businesses" are taking advantage of that since there is barely any competition for them. They charge outrageous prices for subpar food and are often times rude to customers.
