Denise Caribbean Cuisine Reviews
The food is on point 10/10. If you want authentic GUYANESE food, look no further. The chowmein, the curry chicken, the pastries & the shark is the star of the show to me but EVERYTHING is amazing. The menu is huge & there’s lots of variety. There’s something for everyone. Service 10/10 Denise is so loving. You can tell she cares about cooking & her reputation as a food service provider. Well done.
July 12 · Dom JohnI was in the area and visited this restaurant. I’m Guyanese born and American raised. Even though I’m raised in America, my first culinary love is my Guyanese AUTHENTIC cuisines. In addition, I’m a Foodie so I know how the food suppose to look and taste. I asked the server what type of Caribbean food is this and she said Guyanese. When I looked at the food displayed, I was not happy but I thought I’d try the simple dishes because I didn’t want to spend a lot on food that didn’t look the part. So, I ordered the white pudding, a meat patty and cheese roll. The white pudding came with a dipping sour sauce. The white pudding didn’t have the spices and flavors you’d expect from traditional Guyanese white pudding. The sauce was its saving grace. There was something crunchy going on, idk what that was. The beef patty was also a let down. I like seasoned beef with a little peas & carrots in my beef patties. This was bland. The saving grace was the crust. It was flaky, buttery and nice. The cheese roll could’ve rolled right off my plate. To be fair, the crust was again flaky, buttery and nice. However, someone file a missing cheese report because this cheese roll was missing not only cheese but the wiri wiri pepper and seasoning that gives you that satisfaction of eating an AUTHENTIC Guyanese cheese roll. I spent $20 on this food and although I ate it I wished I had kept on searching for a Chinese Restaurant. My advice: Don’t claim a country if you water down the ingredients. Big Let Down 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
