El Charro Bakery 2 Introduce
In the vibrant and diverse landscape of Brooklyn, a local bakery can be a beacon of comfort and tradition. El Charro Bakery 2 is one such place, standing out as a destination for those seeking a genuine taste of Mexico right in the neighborhood. This bakery specializes in traditional Mexican pastries, known as pan dulce, and fresh-baked bread that captivates locals with its delightful aroma and authentic flavors. From the moment you walk by, the amazing smell is an inviting promise of the treats inside, a promise that many have found to be wonderfully fulfilled. The bakery has a welcoming atmosphere for first-time visitors and regulars alike, with staff often taking the time to guide customers through the wide array of options. This dedication to sharing their culture through food is what makes El Charro Bakery 2 a true gem. It's not just a place to buy bread; it's a place to experience a little piece of Mexico right here in New York City.
The bakery's reputation is built on the quality and authenticity of its baked goods. A customer review highlighted the experience of being "overwhelmed with options" in the best way possible, praising a kind and patient staff member who explained the difference between sweet, plain, and mixed breads. This kind of personal touch makes the shopping experience both educational and enjoyable. The reviewer chose a traditional concha and a cheese bread, describing them as "fresh and delightful." This speaks directly to the bakery's commitment to baking fresh daily, ensuring that every pastry and loaf of bread is of the highest quality. The focus on classic items like conchas demonstrates an adherence to traditional recipes and techniques that set the bakery apart from more generic options. This isn't just a place to grab a quick bite; it's a place to savor the rich, delicious flavors of authentic Mexican baking, which is a rare and valuable find in a city with so many options. The commitment to providing fresh and delightful baked goods is a strong reason why customers, after years of walking by, finally decide to come in and try them, and why they plan on returning to try more.
It is important to provide a balanced overview, and as with any local business, customer experiences can sometimes vary. A different customer review mentioned an unpleasant encounter with a staff member, citing a rude attitude and an aggressive manner when handling a transaction. The review also brought up concerns about the card payment process, where a phone was taken out of hand for payment, a situation the customer found uncomfortable and unprofessional. This feedback, while negative, highlights areas for potential improvement in customer service. However, it is also important to consider the context of these reviews. The customer acknowledged that they had read other reviews about unfriendly staff, suggesting that this particular issue might not be a one-time occurrence. While this is something for potential customers to be aware of, it is worth noting that the primary draw of El Charro Bakery 2, as evidenced by multiple positive comments and the enticing aroma, is the quality of its products. For many New Yorkers, the appeal of authentic, fresh pastries often outweighs minor service issues. The owner’s consideration of this feedback and the potential for staff training could further enhance the customer experience, but the current reputation is still largely positive due to the outstanding quality of the baked goods.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I always walk past this place and it smells amazing. After years of living in the area, I finally tried their pastries. The lady was kind and patient with me as I was overwhelmed with options. She took the time to explain which ones where sweet , plain or mixed. I went with a traditional concha and bread with cheese inside. The breads are fresh and delightful. I will be returning to try more options.
April 17 · Lisa LisaIf I could rate this place zero stars I would. I just came by to buy some bread but the younger looking lady behind the counter was being very rude. When the short lady was letting me know about being charged extra if paying with card, I had told her I understood and this other lady from behind comes and instead of politely asking me to hand her my phone, she gives me a “ give me your phone” type of response in Spanish. I mean why can’t they set up the card system in front of the customers instead of privately asking for the phone? Not only does she give me an attitude but she snatches my phone from my hand. I have read other reviews as well of the workers being unfriendly and rude and see this isn’t the first time they act that way. The store owner should definitely consider hiring new welcoming people!
August 23 · adriana acatitlaIf I could put zero stars I would, but the least is one star the workers are so rude. I’ve never met a place with such a bad aura. I’ve come here multiple times because my business requires some of their bread, and all those times, not a single time. Has any of the workers treated me right they have such a horrible attitude and such horrible customer service. It’s honestly so crazy to me that they can hire these people. They’ve been disrespectful to my elder parents. came here recently to buy my mother a cake and if you’ve been to this place, you know that they have a refrigerator in the front. Typically this type of bakery everything that’s out for display is available to buy so I was looking at the cakes I hadn’t even opened the fridge when one of their customers prayed upon my back and me and my families back making me super uncomfortable and with such a horrible attitude said, do you need something, but she said it in Spanish, and a ruler form because I know in English it can sound more formal and I spoke her back to her with the same energy She spoke to me because I am done tolerating this behavior. This will be my last time shopping here until the boss can hire someone new! This is unacceptable!!
May 11 · Andrea PerezLet me be honest a business needs few factors: good products and good people doing the products and taking care of the clients. The bakery has a great product but the person by the counter is so arrogant and disrespectful a woman with red hair, young treat me and I witnessed others like she is doing us a favor I bought more than 10 times there and I love the place but I can’t stand her attitude hate and disrespect so today was my last day buying for this place. Hopefully the owner hire some cool and down to earth human no an arrogant human like like the red hair mad woman.
