★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Amazing empanadas. I also had the hashtag breakfast with the best Yuka fries I've ever eaten. The (presumably) owner was very nice and gave our dog a free pup cup.
October 18 · Leah McCaineI told my wife, this is a “groovy” place. Love the combination of Puerto Rican, U.S and Mexican food blend. Their breakfast is delicious. Hard roll sandwiches, platanitos, tacos, and empanadas. A must try. I love the heart and mission of this business. Update: had the chorizo Mac empanadas, Avocado Boat and my wife is not hungry with additional yuca fries. Review stands
July 08 · Zonido LAZERHonest review… I travel for food and culture.. my wife is a Michelin star chef which she was present when we made this purchase. I’m puertorrican born and raised, have a house there constantly traveling and eating food not only from PR but many places around the world. I’m not expecting to come to Montgomery NY and have the best PR food but at least a decent meal. With this said here’s my review:First the place its ok… there’s limited seats and there’s no ventilation system so your clothes will be smelling after. The decoration is like a “Toñitas” but many paintings and abstract art..Service: The young lady was fantastic she answered all my questions and was very polite. She definitely get the 5 stars. The owner is rude and pretentious his attitude was very I’m the man and I know my stuff…Food:I hate to say it I took 2 bites and threw the food away. The rice was horrible, the beans had no flavor and the pernil was a disappointment. I ordered the alcapurria and it was definitely not it la masa the filling… not ok … I wasn’t expecting the WOW but at least a ok. The food was greasy and all needed seasoning, some type of flavor. The end of story needs definitely improving, the place need to be be more inviting and the food needs to be cook properly and with care. I’m disappointed at the owner and his way of handling when asking a question and answered like I was offending him. Not knowing who I was and who I was with..Definitely not authentic puertorrican food
October 22 · C. MasThe best empanadas and best smoothie I’ve ever had and I wish there was a place like this in queensI’m from queens NY and my friends and I visited upstate, we stopped by to this empanada place and gave it a a try. The place had a great vibe, I had to go to the bathroom and saw the kitchen was VERY clean. I got 3 beef empanadas and a mixed berry smoothie, I have a strange stomach where if I have deep fried foods or certain processed foods it just doesnt go well with it but I ate it and not only was it amazing, I had no issues digesting it. Meaning the ingredients and oil they used is very high quality and not something cheap. My friend got a mixed berry smoothie but the owner ran out of some of the berries, so instead he personally made an amazing smoothie for my friend, he gave me some to let me try and lemme tell you I had to run to the bathroom a few hours later, not a complaint, my gut felt great. Amazing place, I wish them well and I hope to see them again when I come back up!
August 13 · Demitri MarcelloI went here for the first time but a lot of the VC cheer and football parents go here. Very friendly upon entering. Paintings on the wall where amazing but most of all...... FOOD IS DELICIOUS!!!!!!! WOW!!!! Definitely coming here at least once a week. Plus there not trying to empty your pockets on a meal.
