Flower Cat Introduce
In the vibrant and ever-evolving neighborhood of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, there's a unique spot that seamlessly blends two beloved things: great coffee and beautiful flowers. That place is Flower Cat, a coffee shop that also functions as a florist. This dual identity makes it far more than your typical café; it's a destination that offers a feast for the senses, from the aroma of freshly brewed coffee to the sight of whimsical floral arrangements. The atmosphere is a key part of its charm. Described by patrons as "cutesy" and "eccentric," the interior is filled with antique decor and cat-themed touches, creating a cozy and comfortable space that feels like a curated living room. This setting is perfect for both solo diners looking for a quiet place to work and friends hoping for a fun, unique spot to catch up. The concept of a coffee shop and florist combined is a refreshing idea, one that allows Flower Cat to stand out in a neighborhood with no shortage of cafes. It is a place that truly embodies the creative spirit of Brooklyn, offering a peaceful and beautiful escape from the city’s concrete landscape.
Flower Cat has a menu that is as thoughtfully curated as its decor. While they excel at providing classic coffee options, their true specialty lies in the details that make each item unique. They are praised for their "Great coffee" and "Great tea selection," offering a solid foundation of espresso drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, and cold brew. But for those looking for something a bit different, the "Orange Blossom Chai Latte" and the "Honey Lavender Latte" provide an intriguing twist on familiar flavors. Beyond the drinks, the pastries are a major draw. Customers rave about the quality of the baked goods, with a particular highlight on the "honey and rosemary biscuit" and the "pistachio rose 'cake.'" While the pastry selection might be limited and sourced from a local vendor, the quality and unique flavor profiles make them well worth the pairing with your drink. This commitment to offering distinct, high-quality items, even in a small-scale menu, showcases the cafe's focus on providing a memorable experience rather than just a quick transaction. It’s a place where every item, from a solid cold brew to a fragrant pastry, is chosen to delight and satisfy.
Flower Cat is perfectly situated at 162 Noble St, Brooklyn, NY 11222, placing it in a prime location in the Greenpoint neighborhood. Noble Street is a quieter thoroughfare just off of Manhattan Avenue, one of Brooklyn's busiest and most vibrant streets. This placement provides a perfect balance: the cafe is easily accessible yet offers a surprisingly calm and serene environment. For those arriving via public transportation, the location is a short walk from major subway lines, making it an easy destination for anyone coming from other parts of Brooklyn or even Manhattan. This accessibility is a significant plus, especially for New Yorkers who rely on the subway for daily travel. For drivers, paid street parking is available in the vicinity, though it can be competitive. The presence of outdoor seating, though limited, is a great feature that allows patrons to enjoy their coffee and pastries in the fresh air, and with a dog-friendly policy for the outside area, it's a welcoming spot for pet owners. This combination of a convenient location and a surprisingly peaceful atmosphere makes Flower Cat a true urban oasis.
Flower Cat offers a number of services and amenities that are tailored to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for its diverse clientele. Here's a breakdown of what the coffee shop provides:

The features and highlights of Flower Cat are what truly make it a special and memorable place in the Brooklyn community. These unique attributes are often what customers mention in their positive reviews and are the reasons they keep coming back.
- Dual Concept: The most unique feature is the combination of a coffee shop and a florist. This fusion creates a beautiful and fragrant atmosphere, making it a feast for the senses and a true standout from traditional cafes. The presence of a talented florist adds a layer of artistry that is rarely found in a coffee shop setting.
- Distinctive Decor and Atmosphere: The "antique/eccentric decor" and "cat decors" create a "cutesy" and "fun" experience. The space is intentionally designed to feel lived-in and cozy, like a friend's living room, which contributes to a feeling of comfort and belonging.
- High-Quality Coffee and Pastries: Despite being a hybrid business, Flower Cat is serious about its offerings. Customers consistently praise the "great coffee" and "incredible" pastries, showcasing a commitment to quality that transcends its dual identity. The "honey and rosemary biscuit" is a particular fan favorite.
- Peaceful and Productive Environment: The cafe provides a surprising sense of calm, even with its proximity to a busy street. It is recognized as a great place "for a mid-day work coffee break" and for "working on a laptop," thanks to its relaxed setting and conducive atmosphere.
- Friendly and Welcoming Staff: The barista is described as "very friendly," and the staff is "warm" and "lovely." This positive customer service experience enhances the overall visit, making patrons feel welcomed and appreciated.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This coffee shop is so cutesy! The antique/eccentric decor makes for a fun dine-in experience with a friend or family member! The pastries were incredible (I highly recommend the honey and rosemary biscuit) and so was the coffee! The barista was very friendly too. Overall, this is a great place to be on the weekend or for a mid-day work coffee break. Check it out!
April 14 · Zimmi CokerBrooklyn vibes with a lot of antiques and cat decors.Found this spot while hunting for a café with outdoor seating. Just three tiny tables outside, and I managed to snag the last one. Even though it’s right off one of Brooklyn’s busiest streets, it felt surprisingly calm.Drinks were okay overall. The Orange Blossom Chai Latte leaned more “chai” than “orange blossom”. Peppery and spiced, but with only a whisper of citrus. More like a lighter chai with less milk than anything distinctive. The cold brew, on the other hand, was solid.Pastries were limited, so I tried the pistachio rose “cake.” Mini-tart sized, a bit steep for what it was, and almost certainly brought in from a local vendor (pulled from a box). Still, it was fragrant and moist enough to be worth pairing with a drink here.
September 03 · Jea KimA beautifully cute cafe! I loved the aesthetics and the seats/tables are comfortable enough to work on (not for a long time, but if you’re passing by). The matcha latte was also fantastic, unsweetened and thick as I like it. The owner was very friendly too. Overall this was a perfect relaxing spot to drop by before lunch.
August 03 · L.Truly one of my favorite nyc coffee shops I’ve tried in a while. The interior feels as though you’ve stepped into a fairy tail.I went in when they opened on a Wednesday morning. Not too crowded. There were plenty of tables to work from inside and a couple outside.I just got an iced latte (good and average price), but they had many specialty drinks that would be fun to try. They do have WiFi. I had trouble making my laptop connecting at first, but then it was fine.I worked here for around 2 hours and it was a very relaxing, charming environment with minimal chaotic noises.
April 30 · Midori GrabowskiFlower cat cafe has a beautiful, eclectic atmosphere with great espresso, lattes, vintage furniture, and fun books and toys to fiddle with on the shelves. We got the maple cardamom iced latte and a regular latte and both were great! The chocolate chip cookie was tasty and chewy and they also have flowers for sale.We loved sitting at the cozy table inside and there are tables outside as well.
