## Location and Accessibility
The Halal Food Vendor is strategically located in a high-traffic area of Downtown Flushing, Queens, making it exceptionally accessible for commuters and neighborhood residents.
The address is: **136-01 39th Ave, Flushing, NY 11354, USA**.
This location places the vendor near the intersection of 39th Avenue and Main Street, a cornerstone of Flushing's main commercial district. Accessibility is one of its strong points, thanks to its proximity to major transportation hubs:
- Public Transportation: The area is served by the 7 train at the Flushing–Main Street station, which is a short walk away. Numerous **MTA bus lines** also converge in this central location, making it easy to reach from all over Queens and beyond.
- Vehicle Access: Customers should be aware that, like much of Downtown Flushing, the area is heavily congested. Traffic restrictions, frequent bus activity, and general foot traffic make **accessing the location by vehicle very difficult**. Parking is scarce, and trying to wait for an order in a car is strongly discouraged by the venue's staff and logistical challenges, according to local feedback.
- Ambiance: As a street vendor, the dining experience is naturally **Casual**. Service is primarily **Takeout**, though patrons can dine on the street or nearby public seating areas. It is particularly popular for **late-night** nourishment due to its continuous operation hours.

## Features and Highlights
What sets this specific Halal Food Vendor apart in the competitive Flushing market is its commitment to value and its unique position in the community:

## What is Worth Choosing
For New York residents, the absolute reason to choose this Halal Food Vendor is the unmatched combination of value and portion size—it is perhaps the most affordable and generous Halal platter you will find in the Flushing area. The Combo Platter for $7.00, which includes a mix of chicken and lamb over rice along with a beverage, offers the most comprehensive taste and the best budget-friendly meal possible.
It is crucial, however, to acknowledge the contrasting customer feedback when making a choice. While the food is frequently praised for being cheap, efficient, and tasty, other serious concerns have been raised by some patrons regarding **customer service**, a lack of personal interaction, and, most importantly, **hygiene standards** such as staff not wearing gloves. The location itself is also problematic for drivers. Therefore, this vendor is the perfect choice for the pragmatic, budget-conscious New Yorker prioritizing low cost and large portions of **comfort food** above all else, especially for a **quick bite** or a **late-night meal**. For those who place a premium on a pleasant customer interaction or stringent hygiene practices, they may wish to explore other, albeit more expensive, alternatives in the greater Queens area, such as those found in Astoria.

Halal Food Vendor Reviews
When you need some nourishment late at night, this cart is the place to go. Cheap, efficient, tasty and just pretty darn good. I beverage is included in the price as a bonus. I do wish the guys working there were a bit more personable.
August 13 · siu chanUPDATE:Used to be my halal spot. It's very difficult to get here by vehicle due to the turn restriction and busses in the area. Additionally, the guy who serves the food now is very rude. When he talks, the spit from his mouth always lands in the food. Today, I went there to order food and waited in my car. When I returned, he berated me saying that he had called me over and I should've waited outside in the cold. He did not say anything at all regarding how long it would take to cook when I ordered. He remained silent, leaving me wondering if he even took my order. When I got home, I found hair in my food. I am not sure if this was retaliation or an accident but it's unacceptable. The health standards here are below average as they wear no gloves and are usually barefoot or in sandals in the cart. Avoid this place, you can find better halal in Astoria. King of Falafel and Shwarma is my new place, and much better.
