★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The negative reviews about long waits and slow food are missing the obvious: you went during opening week at prime dinner hours on a Friday/Saturday. Of course it was going to be slammed and of course the wait was going to be long.I went on a Wednesday around 8pm and had no issue with anything. I was seated immediately and got my food fast as well. They were actually very accommodating, I had asked to switch to the cushion seat tables as I have a bad lower back and they said no problem and moved me. I ordered the donkatsu as they didn’t have this at the Fort Lee or Palisades Park locations. Honestly it’s now my go-to order from here, it seriously blew my expectations from a jjajangmyun place. The donkatsu was tender inside and crispy outside, the sauce that paired was almost like a perfect blend of sweet and savory. Also got the kangpungi (I think this is how it’s spelled?) it was also really good, super crispy. The “vibe” and the environment was nice. Forgot to ask but I noticed there’s a bar area so I’m assuming they sell alcohol. But overall great experience with staff and food. I definitely will be coming back for the donkatsu!

September 26 · S HHad a great time at this place! I visited on a Friday night and I was seated right away, which was surprising considering how packed the place was, almost every table was filled. Even though it was busy, the service was super friendly and on top of things. It did take a little while to get my food, but honestly, it made sense with how full the restaurant was. And when the food came out, it was totally worth the wait. Everything was delicious!I really loved the clean, bright, and overall really welcoming atmosphere. While I was there, I chatted with one of the servers who mentioned they’ve got a bigger room in the back for parties and get-togethers. Definitely something I’d consider for a family or friends gathering in the future.Overall, awesome food, great service, and a great environment for a meal with your friends and family. Would totally come back!
September 28 · Irene KimSo glad this place finally opened after such a long delay!! My family & I went for dinner Wed night around 6:30pm & it was packed…but severely understaffed. We waited almost 40 min for food & saw other tables dealing with the same delays for both food & checks. Lots of mix ups too.. orders going to the wrong tables & being sent back. If you’re seating customers, you’ve got to be ready. Either limit the number of customers or have more staff. The food was really disappointing!!! We’ve been to the Pal park & Fort Lee spots numerous times & loved them, but the jjajangmyun in particular just wasn’t good & overall flavors were just off. Tangsooyuk was pretty decent though.I reallyyy want this location to succeed, so I’m assuming it’s growing pains with opening week & will give it another shot in a few wks. Please hire & train more staff and most importantly, match the flavors from the other locations. If it improves, I’ll happily change this review to 5 stars.
September 26 · RLAmazing food that tastes immaculate and is always consistent with every visit. This place is always filled with people yet provides great service! My go-to dish is usually the jajangmyun and was very pleased with the food quality. Saw new dishes like the donkatsu, can’t wait to eat more!
September 28 · woosoo kimFor around here… pretty decent. U less you want to take a 20 min ride down to Fort Lee/Palisades.Went here with my kids during soft opening. The staff def have to get into their flow. But every new restaurant does. So it’s forgivable. The staff was friendly and were fast to please though I wasn’t sure they had enough people for the rush that they probably weren’t expecting. I went two nights in a row and it went from a few tables to a packed night. Night and day. Coming from experience they’ll def need to get their flow. But like I said, that’s why you have soft openings,… to iron out the wrinkles. The food was solid. My kids were happy and around here I’d consider it pretty good. We tried a few different dishes and everything was tasty.Ambiance is nice. Real clean and bright. The place has a bit of air to it also and doesn’t feel claustrophobic. Feels bigger than other places and the chairs… comfortable.I’ll be back again to see if they’ve improved. But from the friendliness of the staff, solid food and a clean atmosphere, I’d say we have a winner.
