appreciated the fact that a pleasant senior seated us, keeping her busy and mobile. No delay in waitstaff responding. Clean, no particles of food remaining on walls or edge of tables and chairs. Food was DELICIOUS fresh and hot. I love coleslaw, superior when compared to the place in West Orange that's popular. The Reuben was so so good here. will come again real soon

When moving into the area I heard this was one of the best diners. Was definitely not disappointed. Great atmosphere entering that showed the variety this place offered, from the salad bar to the alcohol to the baked goods. The menu had great variety. Food didn't take too long and the waitress was accommodating. Their linguine and Italian meatballs sounded simple but we're excellent, especially the meatballs, while being a generous portion of linguine. The Simply Grilled Chicken was also made well, with generous potatoes and veggies as sides. With the many options they will definitely see me return to try more.

If you’re within fifty miles of Springfield, New Jersey and you’re not eating breakfast at Huck Finn Diner, you’ve made a grave miscalculation. The place is a time capsule of chrome and comfort, staffed by professionals who know their way around a griddle and a coffee pot. I walked in groggy and half-human, and walked out reborn with eggs over easy, crispy bacon, and pancakes that could make a grown man weep.The service was fast and friendly, the kind of place where your coffee never dips below half-full and the waitstaff treats you like a regular even if it’s your first time. Hash browns? Golden. Toast? Buttered to perfection. Even the orange juice tasted like it had a purpose.In a world gone mad, Huck Finn serves up the kind of breakfast that reminds you everything’s going to be okay—at least for a little while. Five stars without a doubt.

I visited Huck Finn Diner on yesterday (Thursday) afternoon at around 5:30pm. The diner was not very busy and the parking was easy. I was greeted immediately upon entering the diner and was promptly brought to my booth where I was left with their menu for a few minutes before a waiter came up to me to take my order. One of the waiters was even kind enough to close the blinds for me unasked, as the sun shining through from the sunset was very blaring, which was nice of them. The diner was clean and welcoming with nice relaxing music playing on the speakers. It was overall a very "chill" vibe. I ordered a chicken parmigiana sandwich which came out promptly and was hot on the inside, the cheese was melted well so it was a good sandwich, the bread just tasted a little stale. The side of mashed potatoes had good taste to them but definitely could have been a bit warmer.

Food was good but server Donna was blatantly rude to me and my friend from the very start. Did not make us feel welcome in the slightest (rolling her eyes, snappy tone, overall bad vibe) despite no rudeness on our end. If the diner sees this I’d truly love to know why we were treated this way because it felt very intentional and I’d hope this doesn’t represent the establishment or this city, as this was my first time here. And I can’t help but note the fact that me and my friend are two people of color as I rack my mind for answers, but I would hope that’s not the reason and, again, that this does not represent the establishment.
