★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Genuinely the best meal I've had in NYC in a while! The service was insane (shoutout Eli and Neal and everyone else there!) and the family style meal was great value + delicious :) it's BYOB! Standouts were the gumbo, fried chicken, and the fish! Will definitely be back
August 22 · Cecilia BaekCame to NYC specifically to check out this restaurant. This place is going viral recently and this place has definitely earned the hype. One of my new favorite restaurants. We ordered the 2 person set menu. It was SO much food and all of it delicious. The service is fantastic, the owner was there the entire time talking to her customers, can’t wait to get back. EVERYTHING was amazing, with that said, our rank was as follows:1. Fried chicken2. Green Tomato kimchi3. Brisket or Jjapchae balls (!?)4. Potato salad
August 16 · Soo HanFood and service were amazing! Would definitely recommend to anybody. The space is a little tight inside in some of the seating but not the worst. Washrooms is in the back through the kitchen so this tells you how small the whole restaurant is.One of our snacks came out a little cold and they gave us a brand new one as well as another snack to make up for it. Service was amazing and everyone apologized for it, even though this obviously can happen to any establishment. Zero corkage fee when choosing a set menu is amazing and I’d definitely recommend bringing a bottle if you have one, they’ll keep it on ice and provide some ice for the drinks as well. The daikon potato and okra kimchi sides are hits, but I’m sure all the sides are good. The standouts for me were the snacks, which were the cornbread hush puppies and the japchae balls. These were so good, definitely try one or the other or both if possible. The kimchi fried rice and brisket grits mains were both amazing. I would say the brisket grits was more unique but both were great in flavour. The fried chicken was really good but since everything was else was so unique and yummy I’d say I would recommend trying more of the other food rather than getting just chicken. Ideally adding a piece of chicken for $9 to the set menu seems like the best way to try it.10/10 recommend!!!
September 16 · Pirashan RaviSmall and intimate restaurant where you can taste the soul and love of the chef. The unexpected combo of Korean and Cajun food yields great flavor profiles and textures! Every dish was awesome and wish I have more room to eat more!
August 13 · Mindy SoEverything was so good. We got the fried chicken with okra kimchi (underrated) and the cheesy grits. For an appetizer, we ordered cod beignets, which were good but on the greasy side since they were fried. But worth it.I would love to try the cornbread and the brisket next time. Overall, it was a good meal, the service was fast, and the meal was good, but don't go in without a reservation. They’re always packed
