Mitad del Mundo is a cozy spot in Queens with super affordable lunch specials — I don’t remember exactly if it was $16 or so, but the portions are generous and the price is definitely budget-friendly.The service is really good, and it’s a peaceful place. I’ve even brought my laptop and done video calls there without any issues.The first time I went was with a friend, and we tried some cocktails — they weren’t the best, to be honest, but the food was delicious!If you’re looking for a calm place to catch up with a friend or have lunch with your family without spending much, this is definitely the spot.

Went with my friend to eat Ecuadorian food. Food was tasty & generous. Ordered 2 meals to go. Bill comes for $116. Pay attention to the final bill when there are dyslexic numbers higher costing error' & they add $9.95 twice as tax or T1? Attached pic of rotting avocado in my 2 take home meals. They don't mind losing new customers.

Very rude staff. I went for just 1 beer. Which was $7 seemed a big pricey considering the area. When I asked to pay they got annoyed because I didn’t have cash. Don’t recommend this place.

This place was disappointing. Having been here before, we expected a better experience but was let down. Not sure if the waitresses are recent residents to the country but it’s evident that their aloof attitude was noted by them. This place is best for take out.

Let me just begin to say that this restaurant is the worst I ever been to , the waitresses always have a stank attitude and are very rude to customers, we have requested extra little plates for our entrées, while we wait for the main course, we notice the little plates were dirty and we sent them back ,mind you they caught an attitude. Then we kept waiting and waiting for the main course , we ask the waitress and (she said just wait is coming). 1 hour and a half for our food to arrived just to be cold 🥶, we brought it up to their attention as we expected they catch and attitude. We thought our family night out couldn't get any worse, there was a small cockroach walking around in our table and that's when we had a enough, we told the waitresses just for them to say we were the ones who brought the roach and we planted in the table, so we ask to speak to the manager to resolve the issue, then they said the manager didn't want to speak to us and that they were waiting for the owner of the restaurant. We waited for literally an 1hour for the owner ,which she tried to do her best but kept trying to make it not a big deal . Please save your money and time. This place is not worth it , don't order food from this place , this place is dirty and very unprofessional.

The food was delicious. I had pork chops with fries, a salad, and beans. A perfect portion was served. everything was cooked to my liking and the waitress was very attentive. I'll be back here for lunch soon. Only issue i had was they took very long to split the bill for my party. otherwise, great experience!
