- The food was good but the prices are higher than La Piazza in Merrick (which is our usual spot) and the menu is a little different. The Merrick location gives you a choice of free soup or salad with any entree. This location charges for sides with an entree. One of us ordered a side salad and they charged $10. - I’d been driving past this restaurant for 14 years while living on Long Island and always wanted to try it, but never got around to it while living on the island. But tonight, when visiting a dear friend in the area; I suggested it and they had said that they’d actually been there once before for dinner years ago and had a pleasant experience. And so, tonight was just that; great atmosphere, awesome espresso-martini, delicious food from start to finish, stellar staff/service and tasty dessert! Will definitely be back when visiting the island when I want a solid meal, in a comfortable, but still aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. Our waiter Josh was a pleasure from start to finish; hope he’s feeling better after having to leave early for the evening after becoming ill! I’ll/we’ll definitely be back in the future! - We had another excellent meal at La Pizza in Melville. This time we had Pablo as our waiter and he was fantastic! He was very attentive to our every need and made sure everything was just as we wanted.
