★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Wow wow wow. The house fried chicken sandwich might be new Top 5 in NYC!! Made to order by the chef/owner Chef Park who is there every day. A crispy, crunchy, yet juicy & tender in the middle chicken thigh. Fried in beef tallow so the cornflake & flour batter isn’t too heavy. Topped with daikon/carrot slaw & a hefty squeeze of house-made gochujang aioli on a soft potato bun. Only $11. That is hard to beat. I love the small takeaway window. It’s very charming and feels special. You can eat at the counter too!Don’t skip on the beef tallow sweet potato fries or side of kimchi to cut through the fried goodness. 10/10 on the sandwich. Ask to sample the secret sauces he is working on in the back. Type of food that is best to eat on location for the best texture and crunch experience!
July 24 · Liza de Guia (SkeeterNYC)I have tried pretty much every notable spicy chicken sandwich in Brooklyn and Manhattan, not going to name names, but this is the best I’ve had in New York. It’s an unassuming walk-up window serve spot with three stools, and I met the chef, Sung Park, when I walked up. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it took about 10 minutes to receive my to-go box from heaven. The bun is a perfectly glazed and toasted potato bun, with a piece of chicken as big as could possibly fit on the bread. Chef Park told me it was a 48 hour brine with no seed or canola oil- the texture is incredibly crunchy and well breaded/seasoned, with the chicken as juicy as can be. The sauce amount was perfect, with a bit of a spicy kick, pairing perfectly with the daikon radish topping. I will absolutely be coming back here as often as possible with everyone I know, and I wish Lucky Chix the very best future.
June 01 · Aleksey ZemmelBelieve what people are saying — this shit rocks!!The chicken in this sandwich was treated with respect. You can tell by the gorgeous red-brown fry and unbelievably juicy interior. The brightness of the daikon & carrot slaw added balance to the sandwich. With a lot of chicken sandwiches, the sauce is a necessity. This gochujang sauce was an accessory, its flavors only complementing the bold flavored slaw and kick from the chicken, just as god intended.Put this in your mouth!!
August 17 · LaylaGreat Korean fried chicken! The owner Chef Park manages operations and is very friendly.I tried both the fried chicken sandwich and the 1/2 chicken with both marinades of soy garlic and the hot & sweet. The fried chicken sandwich is SUPER crispy due to its corn flake-based breading. Really great flavor and crunch. The chicken portion is generous - to the point where a lot of the chicken meat is sticking out of the bun.Chef Park is very open to feedback as well as sharing about his background and cooking methods/decisions for Lucky Chix's menu which is really interesting, especially the note that he uses beef tallow to fry everything! There are a few seats in the front of the small shop. I recommend eating the chicken as fresh as possible, so you can eat a quick bite there or do takeout/delivery
September 11 · EmI've been wanting a korean fried chicken spot near me for the longest time. The double fried crispy chicken sandwich from Lucky Chix is unparalleled. A delectable crispy crunch on a generous hunk of tender and juicy chicken thigh in a perfect spicy sauce, topped with gojuchang aioli and shredded daikon for an irresistable combination of flavor. 🤩 I cannot recommend Lucky Chix enough. Cute little counter serve. Ordered ahead for pickup.
