★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I searched for a place that serves only coffee and espresso based drinks - all eggs in one basket, no distractions. And I'm so glad that I found Pulley. Excellent espresso base drinks, good people. Location/vibe is classic NYC, inside the Chelsea market. Plenty of food options nearby in the market. I'll be back again tomorrow thanks L.E. update - excellent hot chocolate and I'm particular about that.
April 19 · A VOrdered my coffee before reading the reviews and have to say the coffee was great (flat white). I’ve been generally disappointed with NY coffee and was very happy with this. Service was excellent and the guy and girl behind the counter were happy, smiling and great to chat to so very surprised when I saw the reviews. I suspect down to 1 or 2 specific staff members they need to train or replace, but my experience was good!
August 31 · Steve RI have been coming to this coffee shop regularly for the past 3 years since working at Google and this last weekend was my last time. The staff is not what it was. Really crabby and tone deaf and oblivious . Came by this weekend to order my usual, and I asked for honey in it. The barista took my order and said he would mention it to the order screen. Got the drink, no honey in it and I watched them make the drink. When I asked the barista who made it if she could add more honey, she snapped at me and said “it’s already there sir” and frowned her face at me. Never been treated so maliciously by them before so not sure what’s changed with the staff’s attitude however I know few great baristas a couple of months ago working there who were such friendly and bright faces. Sad to see them no longer working there because they were always consistent and great and now it’s been going downhill since. Not even worth the time to stop by. You’ll only get rude service, loud conversations and incorrect drinks.
August 11 · GregWas not about to try this location after reading the review, but I wanted a coffee so bad that day. And I guess I was lucky to get a good experience. The staff was friendly, and my drink was better than my expectation.🎃🧡✨Pumpkin spice cappuccino was what I asked for, switching their latte flavor to a regular cappuccino. The foam was not super creamy but instead, it was well blended into the drink becoming a thick and smooth texture. The flavor was also good, the sweetness balanced with coffee and milk.
December 11 · Julia HI’m deeply disappointed with my recent experience at this coffee shop. My partner and I, both people of color, were clearly next in line when the cashier deliberately skipped us and served multiple white customers who arrived after us. When we calmly pointed this out, she didn’t apologize—instead, she made excuses and dismissed our concerns.Experiencing this kind of discrimination is hurtful and unacceptable. Every customer deserves to be treated with respect, regardless of their background. I hope the management takes this seriously and implements proper training so no one else has to feel the way we did.
